Original igniter lasted me 2 years of regular use, then one day, no ignition. Tested with an ohm meter read open circuit. Ordered up two of these igniters because they looked very similar to the original. When removing the old igniter, tie a piece of string or thin wire to the electrical connector end. Remove the rubber grommet that the connector has to pass through to make it easier. As you pull the wire out from the fire pot end the string will be left behind to pull the new one in. Don’t firget to reinstall the grommet once you get it pulled back through.

Il faut tout de même être un peu bricoleur

I like the price of this unit compared to a Camp Chef replacement. Installation is not that difficult. Remove the cup for the burner. Make sure the auger is not sticking out and fully retracted. You may have to run the feed a bit to get it as far back in the feed tube as possible. Remove the bottom of the control panel and also the controller. One screw holds the igniter in place remove that screw and trace the wire back to the controller. Now remove the feeds from the igniter onto the controller car. Pull the old igniter out and slide the new one in place. Snap all the connectors back onto the controller. Set the screw holding the igniter and screw the cup back in place You are ready to go.
