Works on 1st Gen 4runners
1987 1st gen. 4runner, fit perfectly. Took 2 minutes to install. I'm taller and have my seat back. This extension now allows me to sit back in a comfortable position while shifting in all the gears.

Great
Brings it up almost in line with 3 and 9 o'clock positions of steering wheel. Completely changes the feel, definitely not the move if youre trying to shift like a racecar lol. Make sure to buy jam nut if you want it straight!

Looks great
Didn’t fit my 96 ram 3500. Had to use an adapter but it’s good quality and I really like it

It’s an extension and works as such
Bought this to extend height of shift knob so there wasn’t a feeling of needing to lean forward to reach the knob. Overall this did indeed accomplish that but I got several small issues. First, it can be difficult to tighten the extension to a point where the angle aligns in the desired position. If you tighten it then realize (I need to twist it back slightly) there isn’t an easy way to get a grip to twist back. You would be able to get channel locks and a pipe wrench to force it loose but then risk the high probability of scratching the extension and stick shift. Second, there will be a small gap between the bottom of the extension (the actual straight portion not the threaded) and the vehicles stick. Aesthetically an eye sore but that’s all. Those issues aside, it’s a stick to extend the height of the knob and works great for that

Fits 2013 Tacoma
The stock shifter knob was just way to low. I was constantly hunching forward to reach the shifter. This tiny little extension fixed it 100% places the shifter in the perfect spot. With that in mind it showed up with rusted threads that I had to clean up and oil. It also appears to be designed to fit multiple lengths of threaded shaft to accommodate different model vehicles. There is about a 1/8 inch gap at the base of the extension where it just won't thread on any further.
