This is outstanding canned tuna- on a whole different level than Chicken of the Sea, or Starkist, or ANY grocery store tuna. Surpasses all in overall quality and particularly in flavor, AND, the number one reason I started buying it was because it was fished here in the USA . It’s a FAMILY OWNED business, and I like supporting them for that reason(they have a nice family bio online). It’s not inexpensive, but because it’s ethically caught, sustainable, and supports family business here in the USA, I’ll pay the extra amount. It’s like buying local eggs or grass fed beef because you know it’s better on all levels. Give them a try- you’ll not regret it!

This tuna is amazing! It doesnt even compare to the other nasty stinky brands. I read an article on how tuna is caught and its really sad for so much other sea life that die in the process. This tuna is pole caught one by one. There is more tuna then the other brands and the taste and texture are almost like chicken! lol I made tuna patties with mine. This may be a little pricey for some people but you get what you pay for. This will be the only tuna I will buy from now on!!! Once you try it you wont want to eat the other stuff.

This tuna was rated high by America's Test Kitchen and I trusted that opinion. It was pricey but I wanted to invest the money for great quality canned tuna. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the overwhelming fishy taste. A half of one lemon did not mask the smell nor the off-putting flavor. I just tried to return the remaining cans and there is NO return on this. Very unhappy with the product and the fact that the company doesn't stand behind its product.

This is the best tuna. I have been buying it for years directly from American Tuna. If you buy fish oil supplements in costly little capsules to reduce inflammation and as a source of vitamin D, you will realize the virtue of NOT draining the oily juices form the can. This is not just high quality tasty food for me; it is essential medicine -- better than pharma. My husband makes a wonderful nicoise style salad with American tuna. Thank you fisherpeeps!

The flavor & texture is A+. It's a bit salty but I added some to a salad along with red wine vinegar & it was very good. It's expensive but I will buy it again. It's a great way to get more fish in the diet. Overall it is very good.

I love tuna but rarely eat it because most of the brands you find in stores—even the really "high-end" stuff—is caught and/or manufactured in Southeast Asia and other places where the care and handling of fish is often unregulated and therefore dicey. But this tuna is caught and processed in the US, following rigorous standards—with minimal mercury levels. There's a *reason* why it's expensive. You get what you pay for.

it might be line caught and from a sustainable source but its kind of a fishy taste and too salty for my preference. not what i expected really.

This is the best tuna fish in a can. Yes, it is expensive but you get what you pay for. The only ingredient is sea salt and tuna! Nothing else. There is oil when you open the can but it is from the fish, it is not added. Also, it is 6 oz and you get 3 healthy servings. AND it is an American product caught and canned by Americans! Thank you!!!
