Just completed laying about 850 square feet of vinyl flooring. This cutter was an absolute life saver. I was under a time crunch to get it done and this made cutting to length an absolute rapid fire breeze, as was doing angled cuts. Cutting along the lengths of the planks was a bit mixed. If the discard piece was 1" or less it was fine, but anything broader than that had erratic results. I found that the discard piece tended to break at 1" or less which was fine, but at more, it was a bit of a crap shoot as to which side broke. This may well be operator error though. In the end, I used my battery circular saw with a Kreg Accucut guide to do the long cuts which took a bit longer but was more consistent. I also used this cutter to cut the quarter round I used for trim (1/2" and 1/4"). Got a great 45° cut, and was able to adjust the angle where the walls were not 90° true (almost everywhere). I definitely do not regret this purchase. It was real value for money, even if I never get to use it again.

Update: The seller reached out to me after this review and sent me another machine. After setting up this machine I noticed the base was pretty tight to the machine itself. I still couldn't get all the smaller screws in the base of the machine however they are threaded correctly this time. With modification I could make it work but really it only needs the the two longer screws on each side to make it work but it's so tight really don't need the screws. The blade can be adjusted square now and make the cuts properly no more misaligned cuts or boards slightly at an angle. So it works great for it's purpose. Based on this new machine and the customer service of the company, I am changing my review to five stars. _____ Really wanted to like this as I have used a different brand before that worked flawlessly. This one however was problems from the start. 7 of the small screws would not screw into the base to attach the cutting area to the blade area. They were stripped and the holes machined incorrectly. From there the blade was off the whole time. No amount of adjusting made the blade sit strait on the cutting lvp flooring. Cutting a simple plank that was 8.5 inches wide was ok but the cuts were not completely straight and it didn't cut all the way through despite adjusting to the lowest level. A long cut like shown in the pictures is not even doable. I tried a piece that was about 26 inches in length which this should have handled no problem for a long ways cut. Instead it made the cut and then split the board in a different away from the cut making the board unusable. I wound up going to my trusty circular saw. Might have just been a defective one I received but yeah I can't recommend getting this at all.

Nice built tool don’t know how well it works yet but it looks great with minor assembly and the design quality looks great will recommend to check it out

With our remodel it seems the cost just keeps pouring in. The things that make our lives easier are things like this very efficient vinyl tile cutter. With out this tool our job would be so much longer to accomplish. The saw is accurate with its angles and flawless cuts which speeds up the process tremendously. The ability to have the angle marked on the cutting plate helps with stress free cutting and less waste. All these qualities help with the ease of installation and quality of craftsmanship. So pleased with this purchase and 10% know this job wouldn’t have been nearly as easy to complete without this cutter.

If you are doing any kind of flooring this will save you time and money. It cuts cleaner than a saw blade and it saves so much time from going in and out to cut outside. I placed it on my island on a blanket and it saved me from bending over. The preset angle cuts made it effortless. There is a side bracket that will hold the piece in place as you cut it. It will rip long ways. It is light to be able to move around but solid for any cut and won’t move on you when you are cutting . I was just doing my own floor but I am so glad I bought this just for the one job. Totally worth it!

Wish I would have bought one years ago they work that great
