This desk is very good. I got the 150x80x40cm version. It's very heavy, sturdy, looks and feels amazing. Easy to put together. I also got the Monitor riser to go with it. Both look perfect.

I admit I was hesitant to order this desk because of the reviews about undrilled wood and rough finishes, but I received a perfect one and I'm delighted with it. It was exactly as described and I put it together in ten minutes – I managed it on my own easily enough despite the weight of the wood, and I'm an elderly woman, so it's a straightforward job. The oak is beautiful – a gorgeous grain and a practical matt finish, and although it's smooth enough for me, some people might prefer it sanded down a bit more. I abandoned my plans for a black veneer desk after trying one out and finding that every finger mark showed, but that's one problem you won't have with this desk. Overall, it's rock-solid and looks a lot more expensive than it is. I've seen oak desks that are identical to this one at twice the price. I was baffled by the two sets of screws and bolts at first, but I assume the screws are for attaching the legs with a different spacing. (Apologies if I've assumed wrong.) I stuck to the pre-drilled holes, which have a metal insert for the bolts. I spend most of the day seven days a week at my desk, so I'm very fussy about the small detail, but this one passed all the tests and already feels like "home." I'd recommend it.

After arriving way later, and in 2 boxes, over 2 separate days, I finally opened the desk I've been looking forward to, to find all these strange marks, as if it's been sat on a dirty surface after being oiled. These marks are really bad on one side and not so bad on the other, but guess which side was predrilled for the legs.....that's right the better side was chosen to be the bottom, so the ugliest side, with many marks and scuffs is now the top of the desk. Why not returning it? Probably because the box for the top was barely holding together as is, and once I got it apart to remove the desk top, it could no longer be used to return it. Not happy at all, disgusting quality control. No idea if I can salvage this. Was planning to have this setup before Christmas, not going to happen now. Tha is for nothing.

I needed a small table to start my uni studies! Absolutely stunning table and I would definitely recommend.

Product itself seems sturdy, with metal legs and the wooden table being good quality for the price. However, seriously let down by poor quality screws that don't properly fit PZ2 or PH2 drill bits, and also poorly aligned pre-drilled holes. Sloppy and makes assembly difficult unless you are well prepared.

I needed a desk as we converted the box room into an office, which was sturdy and big enough to work from. This desk fits the bill in 1500 x 500 it is just deep enough and wide enough and is a solid 40mm thick. The top resembles coubtertop in that it is made up of smaller individual pieces of wood and not one solid slab but the oiled finish and quality are good as is the colour. It really is easy to assemble if you have a cordless drill screwdriver and takes about 10-15 minute's including unpacking. The edge corner of the wood is quite sharp so might be prone to dings but none so far. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and glad I avoided all the chipboard veneer alternatives

Should be made more clear that 40mm desks require an impact screwdriver to assemble. Now need to go out and spend £50-£100 on one of those :) Desk looks ok but some minor damage on the corners
