I know everyone here is complaining about the price but I ordered from here because steam doesn’t deliver the index to my country (Kuwait) beside that.. the product got delivered fast and everything was perfect and sealed but I can’t talk about the headset because I didn’t do my research and I didn’t know that it will not work with my gaming laptop but that was fine because i have oculus quest 2 and i’ve been using the index controllers with the quest and the controllers are perfect the base stations are also perfect plus it will be helpful for me in the future if i wanted to buy trackers for the full body since i have two base stations now. I would recommend this but make sure that your gaming laptop or pc is compatible with the index.

The headset I received smells like cheap deodorant. It's in very good condition, but it's as if someone had used the headset and then maybe sprayed the faceplate with deodorant. I don't care if it's lightly used, it's an old model, but maybe let buyers know that the unit is used next time?

This is a zero-star review, even though Amazon apparently believes in participation-trophy ratings. I ordered the Valve Index VR Full Kit about 6 weeks ago when it was priced at $1,076.00 via 3rd party seller "QC_Wholesale". It is highly-suspect that the seller is now listed as "Moose Ventures" with a price of $1,649.00. Regardless, when the kit arrived, the manufacturer's box (black with an embossed product name) had the appearance of being previously opened & then sloppily taped shut with a transparent-tape hand-dispenser (used typically when moving). Even though all the VR components were present and intact, the base stations did NOT have the protective peel-away film on the front glass surface (to prevent accidental scratching), nor did the VR headset have protective peel-away film for the lenses. NONE of the components were sealed in factory-provided plastic. And one of the small boxes containing the multi-language booklets was dislodged & appeared to have two of the four circular Velcro feet ripped away from the paper lining of the box's interior. All in all, this looked like something you'd pick up in a garage sale. This being my second VR kit, I was already familiar with the setup. Yet, after several hours of troubleshooting, the headset would not function at all (no video input). So, 36 hours after I received this item, I applied for & received a return-shipping label. It's important to stress that under the category for reason-for-return, I selected "DEFECTIVE ITEM". Fast-forward to 2 weeks later, I was notified I would be getting a refund, MINUS A $275 RESTOCKING FEE. This was unacceptable for me to be dinged $275 for returning something that was clearly defective & I complained to both QC_Wholesale as well as Amazon. And all I got were "crickets". And how do I know for certain that the Headset was defective? Because I did what I should have done in the first place: I ordered direct from Valve instead. Just 2 days ago, I received the Valve's VR kit, installed it in the exact same way as the previous QC_Wholesale headset and this new one worked perfectly.
