1st when I bought this, my mcl (a tendon that stableizes the knee at the inner side of the kneecap) had been repeatedly hyperextened to the point where it has no elasticity and will not stableize correctly. My muscles are yet unable to replace that completely and when another hyperextension occurs it leaves me unable to use my knee to stand or move, it now only happens for less than an hour but used to take a few months to get back into use.I bought this with intentions of using for mma sports and athletic activities like roller skating. Sofar these are exceptional durable and hold up their form very well with lots of weight on them for periods of time, these also fit well according to size chart in the image provided.My thoughts isPerformance: I can sweat and run jump and these do not slide from my knees or shins.Fabric: the fabric is not thick or bulky, it's smooth, buttery, and light, it's pretty breathable. (This has little to no stretch)Fit: not stretchy but fits perfect when using size chart, my thighs are about 21 in at the highest point and I estimated that my lower mid thigh would be about the same since I haveComfort: very nice and feels good but there is a part where there's a tag in the back seem. It's a bit itchy but it can be managedValue: this is incredibly cheep and im very happy with my purchaseCleaning: this really dosent get dirty, it dosent collect dirt at all really, not like a repellent of water but like dog fur dosent attach easily and slides off well.Overal: I love this and the way it cuffs my knees is absolutely perfect for the protection on my knees and shins when I kick or kneel. I love these and they work very well and don't shift. Buy it!

My daughter is 12 n needed to protect her legs while she plays soccer as she often covers the goalie position. These have worked great!! The protect her knees & shins!! This year there has been less scrapers n bruises thanks to these shin guards. Highly recommend to any parents who have soccer players! They are a must have. Only problem they can slide down a little but still cover the knees

Bought for my goalie and hes more confident now and less worried about the ball hitting his shins. As a parent I love that they cover much more and stay put then traditional shin pads.

Too tight on bottom. Had to cut and still hard to get off. The tag irritated the back of my leg. Had to cut it off. For little kids I guess

Cheaply made, not comfortable. Spend a few extra dollars and get something that doesn't suck

The padding is thick, but the fabric itself isn't. It also doesn't provide the same level of compression as compression socks, but the purpose for me is more for the protection and less for compression. Not sure about how durable these would be if I did take a fall, but I can wear pants over these for extra protection. I have pretty thick legs, so I wasn't sure what size to get. I took a guess and ordered a size Large, and they fit just fine although maybe a size down might give me the added compression.Do any of the negative(s) affect my overall rating and/or recommendation?Yes, a little. I knocked off 1 star due to my concerns about the durability and lack of compression, but for what I need them for, I think they'll work just fine. I would recommend this product, but depends on what you'd use them for.
