Jordan Almonds - Candy Coated - Assorted, 5 lbs

I originally started buying Jordan Almonds at my mother's request to get five pounds of the candy. I took a chance for the first order to purchase them from Bayside Candy, because the company offered a five pound box at the most reasonable price I could find. My mom loved these Jordan Almonds, and I have them reordered two more times. I have tasted them and think they taste great, also.The candy pieces appear small in the picture, but they are surprisingly large. The candy coating is very fresh and not overly sweet. The almond inside is a good size and tastes fresh.I plan to continue ordering Jordan Almonds from Bayside Candy.

I received my Jordan Almonds yesterday. I am addicted to these. I was very disappointed to find that the coating was a thick sweet candy with only a small almond inside. I will never order this product again. How can I return these and get a refund? I could not believe there could be such a big difference in a bag of Jordan Almonds. The order I received in July were perfect.

The media could not be loaded. I'm starting to think that Jordan Almonds are all about personal preferences and I never knew to look for how thick or thin the candy shell was before trying a few kinds here on Amazon. I am seeking out Jordan Almonds that remind me of the kind I used to find in movie theaters. These are good but not quite what I had in my mind. The almonds themselves are on the smaller side, but they are also very fresh, tasty and chewy so that part is a plus in the right direction. The part that's going to keep me looking on my next purchase is that the sugar-candy shell is quite thick. That makes them overly sweet (for me, you may prefer that possibly) even though it does give them a hefty, VERY satisfying crunch as you bite into each one. I was just hoping for more almond and a thinner-yet-still-very-crunchy, candy shell to have a bit more balance. This brand does manage to stop me from eating too, too many in one sitting since I stop because of the overload of sugar. By eating a couple at a time since I've gotten them, the nice, resealable bag of candy is still getting consumed and enjoyed. I didn't have any broken ones and it was well packed for shipping. I'm uploading a video to show the thickness of the shell and the assortment of sizes I got in my bag. I'm going to try another brand next time, but I will keep this kind as a backup if I can't find what I want.

The slightly larger size of the candied almonds over the grocery store variety looked promising; however, upon first bite, it was evident that the candy coating was very thick and the actual almond was small. I was very disappointed. The Jordan Almonds sold at Walmart for just 12 cents/lb more than this brand is much better and is sold in 16 oz packaging. Needless to say, I'll settle for Walmart next time around.

These almonds seem to have come from different sources, then mixed together in packaging. The white ones are delicious, with a softly crunching shell and a great taste of almond in the center--just the right mix of bitter and sweet. There are some other colors that are OK--you can tell them by their flat, rather than rounded, sides. But the vast majority of these are way, WAAY too sugar-coated. The shell is so thick on most of they that they are literally inedible without risking the integrity of your teeth (or, if you live in Los Angeles, your veneers). I am going back to the Italian deli in Glendale, where at least I can pop a couple in my mouth without the risk of an urgent visit to my dentist.

These were great and a fantastic bargain at the price. As we were warned by other reviewers, we did issue an alert to our guests about not biting into them, but to treat them like a jaw breaker! Got a bit of a laugh from our guests, but there were no dental issues either! These are delicious, and the thick candy coating is not to disguise a small almond, they are very nice sized and tasty almonds.

These candy coated almonds were used in s candy bar and looked so beautiful I. A cut glass bowl. They arrived very prompt and in perfect condition. They were very flavorful and fresh. Thank You!

NOT Jordan almonds. Yes candy coated almonds, candy thick coat and almonds pretty soft but does not have taste or texture of Jordan Almond. If you want Jordan Almonds skip this. If you want candy coated almonds go for it. I wanted Jordan almonds.
