Transformers Legacy United Voyager Class Animated Universe Optimus Prime, 7-Inch Converting Action Figure, 8+

I was a huge fan of the Animated series growing up, so when I saw that Legacy was creating a version of Animated Prime, I was all in. Upon seeing the product pictures, I was a bit disappointed. The chest seemed huge and wide compared to his slimmer build in the show, and they decided not to give him his battle mask. Despite this, I ordered the figure anyways.I'm happy to say I was totally wrong about my doubts. The figure is amazing and it's a great restyling of the original design that keeps the most important elements of the original while updating it into the Legacy style. He is big (even for a voyager), bulky yet proportioned, and looks super stylish. The paint and colors pop just as you would expect from an Animated character. Articulation is terrific, able to pull off a large variety of poses. The included Battle Axe looks terrific as well, the blue translucent plastic on the blade is a great touch.The transformation is fun and has a good mix of simplicity and creative engineering. The truck mode is overall great, but like many other Prime figures recently, the truck bed has some kibble that looks out of place. It's not as bad as SS102, but it's still noticeable enough to where you'd think "what is that even supposed to be?".But I keep my figures in robot mode most of the time, and the robot mode is terrific. If the truck bed issue wasn't there, this would be a perfect figure. Despite that flaw, this is one of the best Primes recently released.

This is a great figure. Transformation is really fun and easy, articulation is great, comes with a really cool axe accessory, plastic quality is pretty good not what I was expecting but not bad. Knees are a little loose on my copy but the rest of the joints are as tight as you'd like. It is a stylization of the original Transformers Animated Optimus Prime so don't buy this for screen accuracy, but for a modern reimagining it really succeeds in that. I highly recommend this figure if you're a Transformers collector or just a fan of Optimus Prime.

Super articulated, great transformation, easy to stand which stable on your shelf, great scale, fun figure, and definite value for money

This is my personal favorite Optimus Prime and I couldn't have been more excited to get this toy since I never grew up the the original voyager figure. Although the design is meant to fit in to the current toyline it doesn't stop it from being unrecognizable to the source material. the robot mode is awesome with solid metal pins all around to hold itself in many poses and minimal gaps. The axe isn't a bad accessory accurate to the show with an extending handle for attacking poses but could get loose over time and I would've preferred a single-handed axe. The truck mode is very impressive and looks better than the original figure with the wheels in the correct orientation and cleverly hidden front wheels under the cab to balance the truck mode. My only gripe of this figure is his feet folding on the truck bed; I've heard this could be for a Motormaster repaint, Heatwave repaint or even his wing blade upgrade from the final episodes of the show. If you're a fan of Transformers Animated I wouldn't wait to get this figure.

He feels so high quality and bulkyLike a true dedicated action figure rather then transformer.He's super detailed and has a lot of good paint applications (including a detailed interior in his torso with a steering wheel and etc)The axe can be collapsed and expanded like in the show, and the rear of the axe is blast effect compatible to give it a jetfire effect

When I saw the initial images of this guy, I was beyond impressed. So nice to have my favorite version of Optimus Prime (and the one I grew up with) updated and able to fit in alongside my G1, Beast Wars, and Armada stuff.He looked a little off in the stock images, but having this guy in hand is such a dream. He feels nice and solid and has great presence on a shelf. The transformation is nice and smooth, and his ax is fun to pose with. I would highly recommend this figure to anyone who enjoyed Transformers Animated and to all fans of Optimus Prime.

Toy has great molding, the details are wonderful.Transformation is a little finiky around the chest in bot mode.Poses well, and hands are held in with a ball joint thanks to part of the transformation meaning making spare hands with a 3d printer would be pretty easy.
