very nice resealable vacuum bags
Very nice resealable vacuum bags. I have the hand pump vacuum pump and it works extremely well, I have a couple of vacuum sealer type machines and this vacuum pump pulls as good or better then the machines does. The clear tip of the pump is removable for cleaning which is nice since it can draw liquid into it.It comes with a small slider clip for sealing the zipper of the bags (then pump for the vacuum), the zipper really works well. Faster and easier then I could do when trying to zip them with my fingers. These can NOT be used in a microwave (they could melt to the food) but works for sous vide or for boil in the bag stuff. I tried them compared to regular vacuum bags and sealer with chicken leg quarters in the freezer. Works just as well and holds a vacuum just as good as the machine sealed bags. Although I do prefer using the regular vacuum bags that can be used in the microwave for reheating frozen already cooked meals... the bags become the plate with the side cut open and laid flat. I wouldn't want to cut these bags.OK what these are best for in my opinion is for refrigerated foods that can be resealed and re-vacuumed. Cheese and deli meat kind of stuff. I buy unsliced boneless ham or turkey breast, slice them on my slicer to the thickness I want and put it in one of these bags and vacuum seal it. Same with blocks of cheese. Later open a bag and take out however many slices I want and re-vacuum it and put back into fridge. Stuff stays fresh for a lot longer then using a zip lock bag that doesn't have a vacuum option.I turn them inside out and toss them into the dish washer to clean. Just have to watch how the bags sit, I've had a couple of times had water not drain out of the bag but that is the outside of the bag (turned inside out) and just dump the water out, turn the bag right side out and rinse the outside of the bag (better then hand washing)The only thing that would make these bags better is if they were self cleaning...

So far so good
I got tired of wasting $ on chips, crackers, etc that go stale a couple of days after opening the package. I was going to buy a vacuum sealer machine but then saw this. I tried it out on freeze dried apple chips. The rechargeable handheld vacuum was easy to use and did the job just fine, and the bags hold their seal well enough for my purposes. For the price, even if the pump gives out it's easy enough to buy a manual pump.

Needs more powerful suction.
I gave this 2 stars only because the bags are very nice. The sealer pump stopped working after just 5 uses. I am waiting on a replacement from Amazon. There was no way to contact the seller to even give them a chance to address the issues.04/23/2025 Update.. I received the new pump and it does work somewhat, but is still under powered if you are going to use it more than occasionally. Thanks!

Great product
Really like these bags easy to use and save on food being thrown away. Vacuum sealer still works great! Would recommend

These bags are a struggle to use
The set seems quite good and even includes clips to hold bags still in the sous vide cooking box. But that ends my compliments. I had difficulty getting a good seal on the large bag I tried first. I discovered that to be assured of a good seal, I had to use a hard tool (handle of large scissors, for example) to run hard along the seal line to get the seal to hold (first time tried, bag lost the airtight quality during cooking and my food floated to the surface). The learning curve for the vacuum pump was also not fast, but with some repeats I did figure that one out. But the biggest issue is cleaning. These are supposedly reusable bags. To clean them requires some dexterity with soap, sponge, brush, etc. Then the biggest problem...getting them dry inside. With my best cleaning job, there was still risk of some food residues and if moisture is retained in the bag, risk of microbial growth is very substantial. I fabricated a wire frame out of a coat hanger to hold the bag open in an inverted position over my laundry sink. During winter weather with the house furnace running and the air relatively dry in the house, it took 3 days to get the bag sufficiently dry to store. For that issue of cleaning, I will use the remainder of the bags, but only once and will not buy these again.

Bags do NOT vacuum. Bad valves, or bad bags, but the pump doesn;t even attempt to pump air out ....
Ok, this is the second time in 2 weeks that I've had problems with these bags. I have been using these bags for over 10 years with very few issues. Last week I bought a bunch of these bags and they woudn'r vacuum at all. I have two pumps that have always worked before, but with these bags, NOTHING!. This time, I bought more bags, but I bought them with the pump too. Same as before, the bags will NOT vacuum. I don't now if this is a bad batch of valves or what, but they are totally worthless as anything other than a zip lock bag. Give it some time and see if they get this fixed.....Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have had good results with these before .....

Great product and Company
Worked great at first but then after a few additional uses it felt like the air valve wasn't working properly. I thought it was just the bags getting stuck with food (not being properly washed) but was happening with brand new bags too. The air valve wasn't letting air out of the bag.**Update** December 31, 2024Seller contacted me and provided a replacement. The replacement came with a manual pump. I tested with the electric pump from my initial order and was met with the same issue. I used the manual pump on the new bags and immediately saw the bag deflate. I tested a few more of the replacement bags and some of my original bags, to my delite they all worked with the manual pump. After using the manual pump, I tested again with the electric pump and the bags would deflate slowly. I believe the electric pump just isn't strong enough or perhaps the one I got was defective. While I was initially disappointed in this product, I'm glad that the Momoda reached out to me to give them a second chance. I will update if there are any further updates needed.
