Sun Country Toasted Wheat Germ, 12-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)

My favorite brand of wheat germ for years was Mother's. And then the jar disappeared from the supermarket shelves. With a little investigation, I found that Sun Country had bought the Mother's company ... but the only problem was the the local supermarkets didn't start restocking the new product, now in sealed bags. So imagine my delight to find it on Amazon. What I do is buy one of the competitor (and not as good) brand in a supermarket and then fill it when empty with Sun Country so I can access it easily in the refrigerator. Easy to refill over and over.

Read the great reviews on this product & decided to take a chance & order it. It is the best tasting wheat germ I have ever had. It mixes wonderfully in my morning Tillamook Greek yogurt. It is not gritty like many other brands. So pleased with the product. Have it set up on the subscribe & save Amazon orders. It can be frozen.....so YAY. Very very pleased with the product.

As far as I know, this doesn't contain sugar. I used to use this wheat germ alternately with the bottled version available in most grocery stores, but lately the latter product started including sugar. Maybe the ingredients of this one will end up being changed too (I think they are made by the same company), but I hope not. Very good and very fresh.

Nice flavor and added to our yeast bread worked well also.

love it. Use this for making dog treats. The dog totally loves the treats and it keeps him regular in his duties.

this wheat germ does not taste bad and is reasonably priced.

what a great deal. compares very favorably to the popular jar brand, actually I'm a convert - I like this better! 6 packages is a lot of wheat germ - it does freeze well, so that is what I did with five of them. I'll order this again.
