You can just get lost in Over the Garden Wall, luxuriate in every aspect of it - the animators' attention to detail, the wonderful music, the voice talent... all of which add up to an utterly unique work of art, with an atmosphere I can hardly describe (American Gothic? Americana? Old Autumnal? Colonial quirk? Folksy horror? Wonky nostalgia? Western Ghibli? Probably all of those.) Wirt is walking with his brother Greg (and Greg's frog) when he realises they're lost. In an attempt to get back home, they befriend Beatrice, a talking bluebird with a secret. As they journey together, they encounter a gruff woodsman, pumpkin people, a school for animals, a tavern filled with oddballs, a steamboat for frogs, all the while being haunted by The Beast that lurks in the Unknown. But where exactly is the Unknown? And how will Greg and Wirt get home? I bought a multiregional player so I could own this, because for some reason (I blame the Government) the British People aren't allowed nice things like one of the best things ever, ever made in cartoon format. I'm off to watch it again.

Potato and melasses
It's quite hard to define this cartoon because it's a little bit dark, gothic and funny at the same time! Me and my boyfriend really love it! I recommend to everyone who want to watch a cartoon not just to laugh! Good for children as well!

Ho comprato questo DVD nonostante sapessi già che fosse destinato agli Stati Uniti, e quindi che non sarebbe stato letto dai lettori europei. Prima di procedere con la spedizione infatti il venditore mi ha chiesto se volessi procedere comunque, e una volta data la conferma è stato spedito (ho letto che a qualcuno invece è stato annullato l'ordine, ma non è stato il mio caso). Provando con playstation 5 non è possibile leggerlo a causa di "limitazioni regionali", mentre con un PC dotato di lettore dvd viene riconosciuto, ma non è possibile farlo partire. Mi solamente bastato installare il lettore video VLC ed è stato letto senza problemi, e ora è perfettamente funzionante.

Bought this in Sweden. The DVD has region restriction and should NOT be sold in Europe.

Es una pena porque no funciona en mi dvd. Es una versión americana q aquí no funciona. Podían hacer una versión que funcionara en Europa.

Great series, good quality DVD. Love the weird spooky atmosphere of this series. Definitely a classic hit and can't wait to watch it again.
