My british shorthair cat is very strong and active. is this xs grooming hammock suitable for him?

Have a similarly active tabby and the hammock works great. We use the hammock primarily to trim claws and also to brush tufts of fur. That said, start by hanging the hammock from a secure location. Then, 2 people must be available; 1 to hold the by holding the cat by the back of it's head (similar to the way a mama cat holds her kittens) while the 2nd person feeds the paws through the appropriate leg holes.

How do you anchor the grooming hammock?

We have a West Highland White Terrier who weighs 14 pounds. We have a roll-up garage door. The level part of the track has holes and we put the supplied hooks in two of the holes. Our dog really does no like her nails ground so we had to figure out a way and the Hammock was the answer. We use the hammock to grind the dogs toenails. We told our groomer about the Hammock and she got one for those troublesome dogs that likewise do not like their toenails messed with.

Is that really effective for dogs?

100% effective. If your dog won't let you trim his nails at all. He would bite you, headbutt you, grab you. You may had to start putting a muzzle on him and it only made it worse. If you bought this project and you can now cut his nails with zero problems. He doesn't bite, doesn't move, doesn't squirm, doesn't scream... nothing. He stayed put while you trimmed.

Where is the pet hammock hanging?

The dog grooming hammock can be hung on shower poles, pull-up poles, store gantry, winches, garage weight frames, small cranes, outdoor swing frames, etc.
