Does this work good on thick loose sand?

It doesn't for me. It's SO heavy to move through sand, that I had to literally leave the cart at the end of a boardwalk, and lug several of my camera gear bags and stands to the location. I should say that it seemed to work fine on relatively packed sand, but once the sand gets deep, it just acts like a big scoop. I'm actually pretty astonished that people said it's easy on sand. I don't see how.

Does this come with the kick stand brake shown in one of the reviews?
