Very handy gadget to keep your drinks warm - works a treat.
Bought this for my Dad for part of his Birthday gifts and he loves it. He's not as agile as he once was but by getting him this he can drink his coffee over a longer period of time without having to drink it and go and make another one so soon. It works very well by all accounts, nice and sturdy on the table and good temperature settings which are adjustable. He's happy so as always so am I

Fabulous!
Excellent item, no more cold teas and coffees in my craft room! So easy to use. It keeps drinks hot and heats lukewarm drinks back up again. I'm so glad I got this, I highly recommend! EDITED TO ADD: This is great for using with scented candles. I had a completely used scented candle in a glass with no wick but with lots of scented wax still in the glass. Popped the glass on the heater which melted the wax and released the fragrance. If you try this please remove any labels from the bottom of the glass candle holder - I didn't and the label was cemented to the warmer plate. However, when I heated up the plate and let it cool for a bit I was able to remove the label easily!

Video Review After 1 Year of Use
The media could not be loaded. I bought this one year ago partly for an elderly relative who often has short naps during the day, meaning their coffee goes cold before they finish it, and also for my own use. When it arrived I was pleased by its solid, well-built and simple design. The device has two buttons on the front edge:One ⏻ simply clicks on/offAnother which ←toggles→ between automatic and manual modes. In manual mode, it remains on until you switch it off, or the timer runs out, while automatic mode activates when a cup is placed on top, then turns off when it’s lifted. If the cup isn’t replaced within 10 minutes it shuts off completely. The sensitive spring button underneath activates this, and it worked with all the various cups and mugs I tested, all heavy enough to click it easily, so it works a treat. The four touch-sensitive buttons on top select the temperature range based on the selected material: glass, ceramic, or metal, with ceramic having the lowest possible temperature at 55°. The other two +/- buttons vary the timer from 1 to 9 hours. There is no permanently ON option. In between these buttons is a helpful display showing all of these settings. In use, it heats up quickly and keeps drinks warm effectively. At 55° for ceramic, it maintains the coffee at the perfect temperature (for me) without further heating or cooling. All good so far.One consideration is the mains cable length, measuring about 1.5m/5ft long. Since this product isn’t cordless or rechargeable, it can only be placed within this distance from the nearest power socket, which may be worth bearing in mind.—Pros:• Well-made• Performs its job well• Easy to clean• Stable on flat surfaces• Fairly low power consumption (36 Watts)• Heats up quickly• Clear display—Cons:• Length of mains lead• Not particularly cheapOverall, this is a good quality product. If it had a longer mains lead it would be pretty much perfect. As it stands, it’s still going strong after one year of daily use, and I would recommend it to anyone, so it’s a full five stars from me.Thanks for reading, I hope you found this review helpful x

Easy to use
Brilliant! Tried it as soon as it arrived. Kept my coffee hot till the last drop. I always leave half a cup cos it's gone cold but not anymore. Love it. Easy to use, plenty of flex and sleek lines.

A real
If you think this might be just a gadget, fun to add as a Xmas stocking filler, something that might only work in a hit-and-miss wayfor a while then conk out — then you are very mistaken.I’ve had mine for well over a year and during that time it’s been in continuous — and I ran continuous — use for a variety of purposes. I’ve used it to heat soup, semolina (both still in the tin), to re-heat a bowl of home-made pasta I’d allowed to go cold, and to keep hot chocolate, warm milk and honey as well as tea and coffee at varying temperatures. In fact there is almost never a time when I don’t have a mug, tin or bowl of something sitting on it, heating up or keeping warm. I was initially concerned about its robustness and whether it was essentially just a toy that would only last as long as its novelty appeal but I’ve resoundingly answered my own questions: I was so wrong. Sturdy? Reliable? Hard working? I should say so!This little hot plate sits by my elbow beside my bed (where I have to spend a lot of my time) working on average 23 and three-quarter hours of every day, only ever off in a power cut or when I’m giving it a quick wipe over. (It’s easy to clean with just a damp cloth.)It’s worth noting that I use extra-extra-large ceramic mugs and it’s more than equal to the task of heating them, just as effectively as the smaller china one I occasionally use and ghr glass one, too. (It has separate settings for ceramic, glass and metal drinks containers.) Worth noting, too, is how quickly it can heat a drink that, as sometimes happens, I forget to set the timer for long enough overnight or before I hand a nap.One other factor that’d often overlooked in reviews is the taste. Before I had this little gem I would often fill a vacuum flask before I went to bed in order to have a mug of hot tea when I woke up, either in the morning of because of insomnia. The idea was okay — up to a point, the point being the taste. Tea that has been kept for more than an hour or so in a flask takes on an unpleasant flavour, to my taste anyway. But even if I keep a mug of tea warming on this for the full nine hours (or even more if I re-set it) it makes very little change to its taste. (I can’t say if this is also true for coffee because I rarely drink it bit I imagine so.)Then, if it’s so wonderful, why only four stars? Because — for my preference — there is too great a gap between one temperature and the next. I admit I may be fussy but I’ve never been able to drink my tea or coffee very hot. To be perfect for me I’d want a temperature between the 55 and 65 degrees settings. (Bearing in mind my extra-rxtra-large thick ceramic mugs.) It’s a small niggle but, ideally, the 55 setting is just too cool and the 65 just too hot. (Yep, call me Goldilocks — or a fussy auld wumman.) For ‘just right’ I’d like a more adjustable temperature setting.Overall, though, I’m so delighted I bought this and really impressed by how effective and simple it is to use, and how good tea still tastes even after keeping warm for manyhours. It’s good value, too: no more endlessly chucking lukewarm tea away (or re-heating in the microwave: hit and miss for temperature and spoils the taste.)I like it so much I didn’t buy the company, but I did buy another for a friend. And I’ve now come back to buy a third to use in my study: a perfect tool for any writer to avoid ghr familiar experience of coffee cooling while the ideas are hot.Buy one for any writer you know and they’llprobably dedicate their next book to you.

Even works with LARGE ceramic cups
Works better than expected, even able to keep LARGE ceramic cups warm, so warm I had to turn down the heat setting because I thought it wouldn't work properly with large cups, I was wrong.

A great cuppa warmer
A very useful cup warmer. I am always letting the coffee go cold. Well not anymore. This will keep it warm, or even heats it back up to a hot cuppa. There's a few different heat settings and a few different timers. All in it does the job. It is quite big though. And be very careful because it gets very hot, keep away from young children.
