Best dog food
I can't comment on the taste as I haven't tried it and my dog won't tell me what it's like. Before going on this food my dog had really bad skin problems and had at least 3 poo's every walk. Her skin is now completely cleared up, her coat is softer and shinier than any other dog in the park and she has one to two poo's a day instead of about twelve. I have had her on this food for 6 months now and will never buy anything else. Can not recommend this food enough. My vet recommend it to me but he sells it for £80 a bag so this is an absolute bargain.

Not right for my dog
I really wanted to write a positive review for this food. I did a lot of research into dog foods before my new rescue dog arrived and having read a lot about the subject, settled on Burns. Whilst I'm confident that this is a quality product, my skinny rescue dog continued to lose even more weight (even though I fed quite a bit more than the recommended amount), something that I have read can happen with some dogs on Burns. I gave it plenty of time for the dog to adjust to his new food (three + months), but his weight loss is now such that I've had to switch to another brand of food for working/sporting dogs, which has higher levels of protein and fat and I hope this will do the trick, otherwise, I'm going to have to go down the 'raw' feeding route. So my advice is to try a smaller bag or two, before splashing out on the 15kg bag to see whether it will suit your dog.

MY LABRADOR LOVES IT AND WOULD'NT EAT ANYTHING ELSE!!
My 11 year old Labrador loves this and has done for several years. Although being a Labrador that instinctively would eat anything and everything, she has, in reality a very delicate constitution. Having tried several other top brands they all seemed too fatty for her and she would end up with severe stomach upsets. Unfortunately, she struggles to eat chicken which seems to be the basis of most brands. I would recommend Burns to any dog owner. Their range is extensive and also includes a "wet" food variety. Using Burns I have a happy dog without weight issues (unlike a lot of older Labrador's). Looking at her most people think she's half her age. The company was originally founded by a Vet, it also provides a telephone service if you have any questions about your dog's diet and general health. I tell all my friends about Burns. I cannot speak highly enough about it. The only down side is that you do end up with an amount of crumbs/dust at the bottom of a large bag but at least you're not left with a residue of grease like many other brands.

Great food
All previous reviews are absolutely correct, it makes their waste so much easier to clean up. I give this to my boxer/bullmastiff cross (300g a day: 150g morning, 150g evening). I mix it with some homemade dog food, usually beef mince, rice and Wagg dog gravy, as he won't eat ANY dry dog food alone (no matter what brand!) Also, as a rescue dog, I need to fatten him up a little bit. He loves the taste of this stuff, and it's worked wonders. His flatulence was pretty awful when we first brought him back from the rescue, and this has really helped to lessen the smell! Definitely worth the subscribe and save, ordered for every 2 months and don't need to use anywhere near as much as with normal brand dog food. It's great!

Best dry dog food by miles.....signed Evie and Archie, the content Rotties.
My two Rotties love this stuff and as they are bigger than me, so do I. Expensive but no waste, no nasties designed to pad out rubbish ingredients and two very satisfied dogs who look forward to every meal, whose teeth do not get stained by artificial additives and whose breath remains fresh. Wet dog food makes me gag so this dry food is absolutely the one for me, and the dogs. Excellent stuff and no allergic reactions to additives because there aren't any.

Good
Have used this for some years after being advised it would help an over-active dog (apparently it is low protein). I've no idea if this is fact (he was a rescued Alsatian with spinning issues - unfortunately died last year) but we've continued with it for the past ten years with him and our other dog without problem. Will continue to do so (whilst we can afford it!) as I feel very comfortable with it - there have been no skin/digestion issues and it's eaten within seconds along with a little tinned (supermarket) food which is probably not necessary but makes me feel better. Arrived within a couple of days

Excellent quality and value dry dog food
My collie dog has been fed on this for many years. I assume it tastes good as I haven't tried it myself! My dog has this as a topup to a wet food. If used alone then as with all dry foods please make sure your dog has plenty of water!

Dogs love it
We have 2 dogs, an 11 year old Cocker Spaniel & a 13 year old Westie. They love all the different flavours and from my perspective it keeps them healthy & happy. Both dogs enjoy daily 2 mile walk & runs & I'm sure it's down to their diet of Burns food.
