My table saw is pluged in its own dedicated 20amp circuit and my Shop Vac in another regular 15 amp circuit -- is there a version that supports this?

If you’re saw is rated at 15amps (check the owners manual or look it up online) this will work.

Would the light from the sandblaater cabinet trigger the vacuum ON/OFF?

Hi, the driving threshold of the switch is 0.25 amps, which is approximately 30 watts at 120 volts. Generally, the power of the light from the sandblaater cabinet is lower than 20W, so they cannot be triggered.

Wouldn't a regular old power strip work? Plug them both in and use the on off switch on the strip. I found some at the second hand store for $1

It would work depending on the length ad on the power strip. The vacuum switch is rated for machinery and the vacuum has a short delay, shutting off a few seconds after the machine. This allows for a bit more cleaning. With a power strip there is a risk of overheating and fire.
