Why can't the terminals be crimped tightly?

First, make sure that the terminals, wires, and jaws have consistent crimping areas. If they are consistent but still cannot be crimped tightly, you can adjust the crimping force by using the pressure adjustment dial.

Why can't my pliers lock?

It is possible that you applied excessive force while pressing, causing the lock to disengage when pressed all the way down.

The pliers are stuck and cannot bounce back properly.

Manually push up the trigger on the inside of the handle to unlock it.

What terminals are suitable for the pliers?

The pliers have three different colored jaws that correspond to three different crimping ranges. The red jaw is suitable for 0.5 - 1.5mm² terminals, the blue jaw for 1.5 - 2.5mm² terminals, and the yellow jaw for 4.0 - 6.0mm² terminals.

Great quality

I use similar tools professionally and they cost an absolute god-damn fortune. Like ... hundreds of pounds! I do appreciate that this is not calibrated and so isn't suitable for professional applications, but for hobbyist stuff, it is very very good. The quality really feels good!
