Luxury feel at low cost
Excellent quality: writes smoothly with no “scratch”; the ink flows well (no pooling); I love the weight and size of the pen; comfortable to hold; great price-point (especially with all the included ink cartridges). Reminds me of school days in Ireland.

Solid Choice Unbeatable Value Fountain Pen
This is my first fountain pen experience. The Jinhao model 88? fine tip fountain pen is durable all metal and comes with 5 black and 5 blue ink cartridges. In addition there is a converter for bottled ink and a slip cover for storage. The value here is hard to beat. IMO, this is a good starter kit and a good everyday pen for both new and experienced fountain pen users alike. The pen is smooth, easy to use and the ink flows well and drys quickly with the exception of coated paper. The style of the pen is understated yet attractive. I think Jinhao makes a blue and red variant though I don't know if it includes the extras. Highly recommended especially for beginners.

Amazing pen -- very smooth writing instrument
The price for this pen was $10, so I'll be honest... I wasn't expecting all that much. So when I inked this pen with Noodler's Ink ND-19066 black and tried it out, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was an extremely solid pen. The extra fine nib has very good ink flow and I didn't have to do any adjustments ... wasn't scratchy at all, no skips, even on average quality paper. Very comfortable to hold, nice weight and size, and the little pen "pouch/case" is a nice touch. Can't say anything about the ink cartridges that came with it, but the ink converter worked perfectly. You can't beat this pen for the price... highly recommended.

Great Fountain Pen for the Price
I purchased the Jinhao fountain pen with the extra fine nib, and overall, I'm quite pleased with it. The pen is slightly heavier than the Lamy Safari and Kaweco Sport, but I found the weight to be well-balanced, which adds a nice premium feel. While the nib is labeled as extra fine, it writes more like a fine nib, which isn’t a deal breaker for me. The writing experience is smooth and consistent, making it a joy to use.For the price, this pen offers great value, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish fountain pen.

Quality pen at very good price
This is a fountain pen bundle that includes a 5 black ink cartridges, 5 blue ink cartridges, ink converter, a pen sleeve and a Jinhao fountain pen. I believe the model is the Jinhao 88, but i couldn't find the real model number in the product description. Note that I bought this for myself originally, then gifted it to a friend to try to get them into fountain pens so I don't have it anymore. But I did like it a lot and was not trying to get rid of it when I gave it away.Build quality: the cap, section and body are metal (brass?) with a nice looking matte black finish. Has a nice bit of weight to it and feels well balanced to me. I got the impression of quality when holding it.Design: Understated, which I really like. May not be for those that like flashy pens. There is some fluting / grooving on the barrel that makes it a little more interesting to look at and feels nice to the touch.Nib, ink flow: I got the fine nib and it was very smooth, surprisingly so. Definitely smoother than my Lamy Safari. Ink flow was slow at first but it opened up after writing for a bit and the flow was good after that. This was one of the first pens I bought and I don't think that I flushed it with water when I received it. It might have removed this issue altogether. Also, I cannot remember which ink I used. It was probably one of included black ink cartridges or Hongdian black ink. Using a different ink may give different results.Pen sleeve: I actually really appreciated the included pen sleeve. I think it is a nice size, protects the pen's surface nicely and has a flap that tucks in to a strap so no part of the pen is exposed. I am trying to find out if / where I can buy the pen sleeves directly so I can protect more of my pens.Overall, I really liked this bundle. I thought the pen was good quality even before considering the price. The pen alone would be a good deal for the $10 I paid, but the fact that it comes with 10 cartridges, a convert and protective sleeve makes the value/$ high

Great Beginner's Fountain Pen
I bought this Jinhao (model FountainPen01) as a backup, in case I didn't like the Lamy Al-Star. I admit I like the feel and weight of the metal casing. It's elegant appearance makes it look like a higher priced model, and only those in the know would know any different, I am new to fountain pens, and use it for Romanized letters, as well as practicing the Chinese Hanzi characters. It does write well. I bought a bottle of the Sailor Souboku (deep blue) ink to use with the converter. The Jinhao's own blue strikes me as an even darker blue than the Sailor Souboku - difficult for me to distinguish from the black. Otherwise, it's a great pen, and puts the joy back in writing for me. It appears the ink dries quickly, no issues there.

Great pen for the money. .👍👍
This pen was a great price and you get a pak of 5 blue and 5 black cartridges as well as a converter to add bottled ink. The pen itself feels nice in the hand and I like the mat rubbed finish of the barrel and the black nib! It is a nice size pen. I struggled to get the cartridge in but hadn’t read the directions sheet until I realized it wasn’t going to go in no matter how hard I pushed. The directions for the cartridge insertion does say you have to use a lot of force and it won’t damage the pen. So I put the cap on to protect the nib and tried again and it did snap in! You can feel it and hear it. I wet the nib and got a tissue to help the ink to start its flow and it writes beautifully! Excellent purchase with an extra fine/fine script. The replacent cartridges are very reasonable too so this will be an economical choice. I may switch over to the converter at some point but I like the blue and the black ink that comes in the cartridges for now especially with the great price point! Good pen!

Awesome pen!
Writes very well, not too heavy, and the converter it comes with is so nice to have. I've bought multiple inks and can use them with it, so I'm very happy. I also like how simple yet sleek and pretty it is.
