Singer is my favorite brand of sewing machines because they really work well. I have no complaints at all, and I highly recommend them.

I sold my old Kenmore sewing machine when I downsized and needed to get a new one. My mom had a Singer and I wanted that brand again. I was happy to find this heavy duty Singer! The new machines I first looked at in other brands were all plastic. This Singer has metal framing and can handle lightweight and heavy fabric. It has many stitch patterns to choose from too. I just hemmed a pair of pants that were too long. It sews beautifully! I just have to get used to the basics of sewing with it. It doesn’t come with a manual, but available online. My daughter printed it out for me. This will be a good sewing machine to hand down to my daughter one day. I love the classic black and the style. I also bought the black Singer sewing case that goes along with this machine. It’s made very well and can store my machine perfectly!

Not sure if this is worth 1 star... Don't let the hype of the Singer name, that company is long gone and is attempting to capitalize on a name vs being the best product out there. And it is not a USA-built product. This is far from Heavy Duty and is a false truth. I purchased a new one. This is a basic entry-level Sewing machine, and it struggles with heavy fabrics, and the 4 thick denim as shown in the picture can be done for any length of time. Piercing the material is strenuous for the machine, and you have to stay with lightweight materials; our, you will deal with constant, serious bobbin jams. Owned it for 30+ days, and now I wish I could return it, and used it goes for less than half. My take it should have been half the price. I've purchased a Brothers for the same price, with more features, and it sews like a dream on the materials I wanted to sew on this machine will not handle

It's important for me to mention that I do not know how to sew with a machine yet. I've always done my alterations by hand. I decided to invest in a good quality semi basic machine that I could have for years to come. This is the perfect machine for that. It's not too complicated, it's very easy to use, it was a good value for the money, And the black color is very fun. I have a friend coming over this weekend to show me how to use it and I'm excited to learn more about how to sew! It offers multi speed functions and a high quality stitch. It has a nice way to it and it's very sturdy and well-made. The machine came with many accessories as part of the bundle and I don't know how to use any of them, but I'm excited to learn.

I love my new machine. It works great a little louder then I’m use to but great.

If you sew eventually only fabrics. It doesn't work in leather at all.
