Seems like pretty good quality. They are definitely solid and polish up very well. There is a chip out of the right side that was my fault from pushing drill bit too hard. Arrived on time in perfect condition and will continue to use these.

Really like these Ironwood scales. Very tough material. Nearly too tough sometimes, have to sand slowly to not burn on grinder. Beautiful pattern on most pieces and nice color anyway. Works very well for knife handles. I have purchased a couple times now. Will again.One big issue this time was one of the pieces was dreadfully uneven (picture attached). Most have been good enough to sand down quickly. This one will take some work.

Perfect wood for knife making

Looks just like the photo, I had no defects.

The scales in the photo were so pretty, that's why I bought them. For me, this was a lesson learned in not looking at this seller's reviews before purchasing. Apparently, it is common for this seller to show one item and ship another. It's my first wood handle, I was excited about using these scales. The grain is so plain it can appear to be another kind of wood. The only variation is the cross-grain burns in the visible saw marks. I knew I'd have to sand them, but geez.Buyer beware, this wasn't a mistake. They show the best but ship the worst, and they know they do it.

I received some beautiful pieces of wood. I assume they are stabilized or they are extremely dense. Either way, nice handle material.
