Holmes Blizzard 8" Circulator Fan with Remote

I purchased our first of these fans a couple years ago to use in the kitchen. It runs almost constantly year round. It works so well that I've recommended it to others and when we needed another small fan for the laundry room I didn't hesitate to buy another. This fan creates good air movement. It has 2 speeds. It oscillates but also has good tilt up and down. I would designate the noise it generates as medium. It is certainly not quiet but also not distractingly loud. Well built and in my opinion well worth the money.

I turned my fan on tonight for some sleep noise, and thought to myself “I wonder how long I’ve had this thing?” I suspected it was a long time and therefore was deserving of a review. 15 years! I’ve had the fan 15 years; and it runs most every night. Still going. What else can I say? Great product.

Great fan, size is small and oscillates, which is exactly what I was looking for. Most this small do not oscillate. It is very strong and blows hard. The only draw back is it is kinda loud it’s too loud to have on at night. Small enough to be portable.

I ride my bike to work every day. I also get very hot on my ride and need a cool down before I can move on with the day. When my 25-year-old fan suddenly died, I needed to replace it. I was a bit hesitant to get this one because of the reviews about the noise, but ultimately decided to get it because of the reviews about its potential air flow. There is no doubt that I am very happy that I got it because it fits my need perfectly. I have it sitting at my desk so that after my bike ride to work I can let the air blow directly on me. I don't use the oscillating feature but I'm impressed with it's wide angle of oscillation. As hot as I am after the ride to work, I keep the fan on its lowest setting because it blows so much air. I guess that is where it gets the name "Blizzard". I even have to check from time to time to make sure it is on the lowest setting because it blows so much air. When people walk by my office they can feel the air flow, even though it is on its lowest setting and all the way across the room. I have a couple of tower fans at home that I keep in the fitness room to blow on me while exercising on the elliptical. I think this fan has much more airflow than the towers, especially if you turn it up. Since the fan does the job at cooling me down quickly, I tolerate the noise very well. I realize that with the powerful air flow, there has to be a lot of noise. If I need to take a phone call during my cool down, I do need to turn it off because it is so loud, but I also have it sitting right next to my body so the fan blows right into the phone. I've had the fan for about 2 months now, so I can't comment on its durability, other than I use it daily and have had no problems so far. In the end, I could not be happier with my purchase.

Love this fan! This is now our 3rd one w/in 14+ yrs. (of using 365 night's a yr) It's the perfect sound of "white noise" for us. This little fan has a smooth soft breeze & once it's on we are off to dreamland. They really hold up as the other 2 were still in working condition however we replaced them when we heard very slight creaking sound.

First of all, although i am a prime member, it said it would take over a month to deliver, and one day i tracked my package and it said it would be delivered in three weeks. Not estimated, but exact date. Three days later i tracked it again just because i happened to be on amazon and it said it was delivered the day before, which was the coldest day of the year where i live (it was -30 degrees farenheit during the day and even colder at night) I was home that day as alot of businesses were shut down and alot of people were told not to go into work due to the extreme cold weather, and the doorbell never rang. I was very annoyed to learn that it had been sitting out for almost two whole days and overnight twice in the freezing cold. I was hoping this wouldn't affect the way it worked. The blade would barely move when i turned it on so i let it warm up for a few hours. Then it worked fine. But the reason i wanted this particular fan is because of all the reviews saying it was noisy. I use a fan at night for the sole purpose of white niose. A white noise generator is not the same and won't work for me. The louder the fan the better in my opinion. This fan is NOT LOUD AT ALL. Also the cord is rediculously short. I also like to point my fan upwards tward the cieling so i can't feel the air and this fan does not turn upward hardly at all. Good qualities: It does seem powerful, You can feel the breeze clear on the other side of the room. The look of it is very nice. If you want a fan that is quiet yet powerful, this would be it. It's a fine product, just not what i was personally looking for. And if you order this make sure to track it every single day!!

This is my second fan from Holmes that I have purchased and they both are excellent. Both are very powerful and very quiet. I bought a 12" fan about a year or two ago as I am going through menopause and I run it constantly and it's still going strong. I just got this one today for my bathroom and it's a bit too powerful. It's spring time and I bet it will be perfect this summer as my bathroom is windowless. The black is beautiful and all I had to do was pull it out of the box and plug it in. Perfection! I love this brand and recommend it to anyone who needs a fan.

This fan will push air and last for years, had this one for at least eight years in my workshop.

Best little fan. 2 speeds and the perfect white noise for me at night. I run this all year round for sleep. I must have a breeze to sleep! My kids each have one of the same brand. We’ve already had them 3 years without issues. So that why I got another. Perfect small size but has great wind output.

This fan is working but if you turn it on to low speed it does not run properly. if you turn on to high and then move it back to low then it works correctly. it makes a bit of a rattle on high. I had this fan before and it lasted 18 years. not sure about this one's longevity. I have not contacted the seller yet as it just started to act up these last few days.

Llego muy bien empacado y sin ningún problema. El ventilador funciona a la perfección. Lo utilizo en mi escritorio y da muy buena cantidad de aire. Puede girar o quedar fijo. Y se puede subir o bajar el ángulo.

This product is a piece of junk. The fan burned the first time it was plugged in. The seller is cheating everyone

Very strong!! A bit loud but definitely keeps things cool.
