I'm not a beginner, but it comes with everything you would need. No need to Rush to the store to buy something else or watch videos to learn to do the stitches. It explain everything so clear my daughter can do it. It is not easy when you're not even familiar with the simple stitches, so I would recommend you practice SC, SS, INC, DEC and chain before you do it so it ends up looking nicer.Be patient, it took me a couple or hrs over 3 days to finish and I'm not a beginner. Mainly because it is many parts. The hands look hard to do but they're actually easy.I'll be buying more from them, even as gifts!

I purchased this project so I could make my granddaughter some bookmarks,What I truly enjoyed about it, was it had written instructions. They were easy to follow.The yarn was nice to work with, and there was plenty of yarn to work up the project. The hooks were of good quality.And by the time I was done, my granddaughter had two very adorable bookmarks to take with her. Very happy with this purchase.If I needed another quick little project to do I would order from this company again.

fantastic beginner kit. All the things you need to make at least 2 of the little octopus. It comes with instructions and a QR code for the follow along videos. I enjoyed making my first Amigurumi doll, I was never able to follow a pattern but this kit made it pretty easy for me to follow. Great value for the money, I ordered a second one.

I was so excited to get this kit so I can finally try my hand at crochet without having to invest a huge amount of money on one of the pricier alternatives that are "beginner friendly".The pros: it comes with scissors and the instruction videos are okay at best (dont bother trying to search for them on Youtube though, their page is not search friendly)The Cons: the yarn that comes with this kit is so very very bad. Its thin and unravels constantly. If you are like me and a complete beginner, spend a little more for one of the other kits with the beginner friendly yarn. Gonna save this kit for when my skills are better able to attack the poor quality yarn or until I can invest the money in the yarns myself and just use their patterns.Regardless, buy with caution. I am basically calling it a draw because I will use the scissors and the pattern if nothing else in the kit.
