I bought these to use under a deck umbrella and they are great. I removed the ball finial on the umbrella top and put the solar panel spike into the hole and ran the wire inside. I really like the bulb filament as well.

I had bought probably 10 strings in 2 years time. Some of them are almost perfect & some are not.LIKES:1) It does adds curb appeal to my small home.2) Brightens dark pathways at dusk.3) AffordableDISLIKE:1) First 2 sets I bought water started collecting inside the bulbs. Not sure if condensation or problem with the seal but every single bulb has water inside & it does not evaporate & ended up pouring them out myself. I have sent warranty info to Brightech directly & waiting for an answer to that.2) The last 2 sets I bought on the fence are a bit problematic. When I first got them, each strings has a few broken bulbs. Amazon replaced them but still got the same issues. The replacements have the same broken, non charging bulbs. Maybe I just got a bad batch.CONCLUSIONS:I come home from work very late at night & it does the job in giving me enough brightness to my entryway & mainly makes me smile every time I see those lights. I was happy with my purchase & hoping that using this solar powered lights will save me electric bills in a long run. Time will tell, & I can certainly put an update here when it surpass 5 years without buying new solar power for each sting lights I bought.
