Better than the stock GM floor mat clips.
I bought these to replace the factory clips in my 2016 GMC Acadia. The factory clips that secure the floor mats are garbage as they do not stay secured to the carpet. They come apart easily and allow the floor mats to shift, defeating their purpose. I bought these in hopes that they would work much better and they certainly do. To use these in the Acadia, the hole in the carpet will need to be widened some. Once you do that, these will snap in to place and secure the floor mats well. Passengers can get in and out without shifting the floor mat now because it is secured. These are significantly cheaper than the GM parts, so don’t waste your time or money at the dealership. They look and function just like the stock ones, but only better.

Carpet clips for car mats
Clips work well to hold the carpet on rubber mats from moving around while driving. Need to cut holes into carpeted mats and rubber mats.

no tool included.
It needs a 25mm hole punch tool. Should have been included in a pack for extra $5 so i would not have to buy it separately. Also, the hole punch is kinda a problem. What if there are wires running under where you want to make the hole ? For that reason i drilled a hole in a hole punch top, inserted a rod and using a drill, turned it into a cutting instead of punching tool. That gave me a clean cut of a hole without the need to bash it with a hammer. Everything else was as difficult as it can be depending on your vehicle. You may be able to get to install these where you want easily or extremely hard. It just depends on how easy it is to lift the mat in that area so GOOD LUCK.

Carpet clips
I was very happy to find a replacement. It was easy to add to my carpet.

Disappointing
Install is fairly easy, nice when they work however, half of them were broke right out of the bag. The plastic is too brittle and the little parts that hold the piece that twists break really easy. i’m gonna have to order another bag just to install two floor mats.

Use for double layer flooring
I got these to repair broken floor mat fasteners for my Toyota floor mat. Wrong style, should have been for a single layer. However these will work for loose floor mats in the porch over indoor outdoor carpet. Never would have thought of this but for my mistake.

Fantastic idea, poor execution, no installation tools make it harder to install
I got this "YehVeh 8 Pack Car Floor Mat Clips Auto Carpet Fixing Buckle Retainer " to try. I use an off-market floor mat so I was looking for some solution to help secure it. My floor mat moves after a while of use and it may get underneath the throttling pad. For this YehVeh clip. It is a good idea for the clip design, as it proves to be effective. The price is inexpensive too, which seems a good value. However, I have a couple of problems with these clips. - There are no installation tools in the package. Unlike the video, where you have a small round cutter to make it easier to cut a hole in the carpet, it does not come with that cutter. That makes it very hard to install. I spent almost an hour just to poke a hole in my car's carpet. I had to be extra careful not to damage it other than the hole I wanted to create. - To install, you must get underneath the carpet. Otherwise, you will not be able to secure the retainer. - These clips are unremovable. Once installed, there's no easy way to remove it without breaking the clips. (Probably no one will do it since there would be a hole there.) At this point, I cannot recommend this product despite the affordable price tag. Thanks for reading this review and I hope you find it helpful.
