Even better than HORL2
The disks are replaceable if you need to in a decade or two.. solid lump of stainless steel makes this very tactile. The knife holder is 15 degree cutting angle at both ends, but one end allows thin knives to be sharpened, like a filleting knife….. its solid plastic with the neodymium magnets firmly embedded..but dont put it in the dishwasher, as neodymium magnets lose their magnetism with heat. The grit is the same 450 average as the HORL and the stainless steel bur removing disk is every bit as good as the HORL2 ceramic disc, with the advantage of never chipping or wearing out.Ok, it isnt made from a slice of oak from the black forest, but i wanted something that would sharpen knives and withstand getting knocked about on a shelf or in a drawer.Little tip is to use a blue dry wipe marker along the edge of your blade, then when youve sharpened it a few strokes, look at it through a magnifying glass, to see where the blue is..and where its been removed.. keep sharpening until you have a good wide band right to the edge ….

Problems with Penknives
It's a great idea and much less expensive than some of the competitor's offerings. Where it fails to satisfy is when it comes to sharpening penknives or any blades that are short in depth - say 20-30mm - the blade may not completely clear the angle block. I am going back to the Lansky sharpening system, which will resolve my sharpening woes.

OK but not brilliant
I tried on hunter knife, it's OK but doesn't work as great as a puck stone. For the money I expected better results
