Water proof and explosion proof? What's not to like?
This light is exactly as described and pictured by the vendor. This will be going on the ceiling over the hot tub. It will be hard wired (no plug) to a weather tight GFCI outlet outside that is about two feet from where the light will be mounted and controlled by a switch inside. Nobody gets shocked. Safety first, right? I'm confidant that the very high humitity and the occasional splash of water will pose no problems for this light. While I have no worries about explosions in this location I see the feature as icing on the cake. The light is extremely well made and until now I have been hesitant to put lights anywhere near the tub. At the moment, the closest light to the tub is about 16 feet away and we have really only had 'ambient' light in that area. This little light directly overhead will solve that problem. Will it be used every time the hot tub is used? Unlikely, but if we need direct light on the tub at all - problem solved.I think this is a good deal and if you need a really safe LED light - this is a good choice. Glad I got it.

Shadow Lands
It's not a perfect light, it has issues, but it's not bad. It shines much brighter than another mill lamp I bought on Amazon that claimed to be 20W. It will rotate a full 360 degrees in the provided mounting hardware which could save substantial mounting time. It also came with a mini manual and wiring diagram. I mention that because other companies are sending out their import mill lamps – three wires that don't adhere to color codes, and no wiring diagram. They hide the fact that they need to be hard wired, and they don't include a DC power supply with their DC lamps. This company isn't playing that game; they show how to wire on the product page and they include a wiring diagram with the fixture. The lamp is a spit more than 18" long with about a 2 3/8" diameter. The 2 and 3/8" diameter is a bit bulky compared to some of the others, but she runs cooler - might be the extra space. If you've got a spot for her on your mill you'll have a pretty good mill lamp. The lamp has a very wide focal range - I think it is about 140 degrees. When I hold my hand at 180 degrees (perpendicular) to the lights primary focus - I barely have to move my hand forward before I start to see a hot spot. Of course it's much hotter at 90 degrees - still, it's a wide range of usable light. That wide range makes this an excellent lamp to have over a work bench. This light has a problem some folks might not be able to live with. It won't be a problem for my application, but definitely merits the mention. When the light is focused on a surface less than a foot away you can see candy cane stripe – except they don't taste like peppermint. Mine tasted like pre-cat lacquer, but were really just shadows (See Photo). As the light is moved further away the shadows and light bleed together are aren't noticeable unless the lamp is moving. So, I can't recommend this for a close up light – definitely not for photos. If you're looking for something that provides a little bit of area lighting with a sharp focus on center this is an option. Not bad...Not good... No idea why the company decided to overlook the shadow land, and it doesn't appear to be discounted because of the shadow land either. Looks like the price of a premium light to me at 76 bucks. So, --- 3 Stars is the best I can give it.Thanks for Reading – Have an Awesome Life!
