I would say it's about a millimeter wider, a couple or 3mm longer and slightly smoother. The whole pencil is considerably heavier too; weighted towards the top end. It's a great pencil but I prefer the 600 for drawing. Hope this helps.

What is the weight of this pencil? Is it heavier than the other version?

I am not sure what is meant by them other version’ as there are several similar types of Rotring mechanical pencil. If compared with the Rapid Pro 0.7 or 0.5, the 2mm is very slightly heavier. If compared with the Rotring 800 with a 0.7 lead, the Raid Pro 2.0 mm is a little lighter. I hope that helps. They are all wonderful pencils.

what metal or alloy is this pencil made of?

I think the inner workings are made principally of brass but the outer casing seems to be of aluminium.
