Great performer on the bench
Short review: This CB preforms just as good as my 29LTD does on the bench. The reviews saying it’s quiet, make sure the RX audio “DSP” level is set to off vs the factory default of 1. Also make sure it’s set to “DX” and not local, it’s deaf on“local”. I found that setting it to DX, squelch off, and RX DSP to level 1 works well and it only makes noise when it hears something.I wish the included USB power adapter had the same funky twist lock port like on the “black box”. Also, if you do end up using this in something like a side-by-side, make sure that USB port is sealed. If that plug cover comes off, nothing is stopping water from entering it.Now on to a more technical review. After receiving and unpacking this radio, it was put to some tests on the bench with an IFR service monitor.First tests were receiver sensitivity. Receiver DSP doesn’t do much for RF performance other than help clean up noise. You’ll rarely need to go above level 2 because it starts sounding horrible set any higher.AM resultsDX setting: .1uV or less on AM with 50% modulation. (Pretty much as low as the service monitor will go.)Local setting: 1uV or more on AM with 50% modulation. (Very local receiving ranges)FM resultsDX: .1uV (as good or better than some of the commercial radios I’ve had to service)Local: 5uV (very, very, local)TX resultsAMAverage power: 3.69 watts (FCC complaint)Peak (TX DSP on, 1): 12.19 wattsPeak (TX DSP off): 15.4 wattsModulation (TX DSP on, 1): 80%Modulation (TX DSP off): 90%FMPower: 3.5 wattsDeviation: +.7Hz (this was impressive)I haven’t done any testing after being installed in a vehicle, but from bench testing, I don’t doubt it’ll work just fine as a CB when paired with a decent antenna. If you were wondering about making any tweaks, not reasonably possible at this time. However, the USB port appears to be an actual USB port so eventually someone will figure out how to make changes via firmware.

Compact Cobra CB Bluetooth
Very small profile for the base. Everything is on the microphone. Very unique. Good idea if there is limited space for the radio. Read a comment it could be installed in the trunk since the mic is Bluetooth.

Does the trick
Nice radio, works well! I like being able to use it in the front or back of my camper via Bluetooth

good radio
Had some minor issues with the performance of the unit. Cobra provided great tech support for resolving the issuesI encountered. All in all a good radio.

Nice concept but it didn't work.
I purchased this item as I like to listen to what's happening on the road while I'm in traffic. This unit is small and does not take up dashboard or 8nterior space. The unit can go anywhere (like in the trunk) as the handheld is the actual controller.Set up was simple as it only required a two wire connection plus an antenna, which should be connected before powering the unit. This being said, my unit powered up but that was it. Nothing more. I returned the unit to Amazon and they sent me a new unit immediately. It also powered up and nothing more. I took my vehicle and the unit to an installation shop and still the same resilt...Power up but nothing more.Unfortunately, I requested a return which Amazon approved but the return/ refund process SUCKS. It is a 3-5 day return process, then wait 7 days for the refund to be applied, and another 30 days for the refund to be returned to my original purchase card. That equals about 40-42 days. Terrible customer service. Recommend purchasing items from a brick and mortar store where your refund is immediate. This experience is a 1 star as the product didn't work and the refund process thru Amazon in Janky.

Great Addition to the 2024 Road Glide
Harley touring bikes no longer offer a CB option. I was able to mount this under the seat and power it from the accessories 12 volt outlet. This powers on with the bike so I didn't have to worry about draining the battery. Mounted the handheld to the tank with a plastic holder and ran the cable under the seat back to the base unit. I then sync'd the radio to my Bluetooth helmet as a second cell phone (The road glide as the first cell phone). This setup works pretty well. There is a slight delay in the helmet when the signal switches from the primary BT device to the secondary BT device so I have to remind my riding group to push talk then wait a second before speaking. Otherwise this is a nice solution to maintain CB connectivity with the rest of the group

Awesome
So far this cb set up has been great. We bought 2- 2024 Ford F350 King Ranch trucks for our fleet at work. The trim inside the trucks is way too nice to screw an old school cb to. Almost everything is leather trimmed inside. This is a phenomenal solution to the problem. We mounted the box under the passenger seat and routed all the proper coax under the carpet and out the back of the cab. We took power from the 12v cigarette lighter in the center console. So it's all hidden. The ONLY thing you see is the handset. And that's only when you're using it. We store it away on one of the side pockets of the center console. We haven't used them a whole lot yet. But our initial test was excellent. It arguably works better than the Cobra classic 29's we had in our last trucks. Great product. And even better for concealing most of the equipment out of view in the vehicle.
