This book shelf was easy to put together it’s very sturdy and I use it for my kids books and stuffed animals and the top for a night light and their fan. I was able to secure it to the wall so it can’t tip over on them.

This is a great little bookcase for a child. It's super easy and quick to assemble, and is pretty solid with real wood construction. You can see the wood grain on the sides of the painted panels unlike composite pieces. There is a slight smell, but I assume it's from the paint, not formaldehyde or other horrible chemicals. It's not strong, and I believe it will disspate in a few days. I wiped the unit with a damp cloth before assembling and have it sitting in the livingroom before placing in my child's room in a few days. It really is adorable and sturdy. I had no damaged pieces, except for a tiny nick on the back edge, which I can repair with a smear of acrylic paint. Assembly was really a breeze. I was overwhlemed at the sight of the bag of screws ar first, but it took 20 minutes tops with a child's help of handing them to me.

We bought this bookshelf with not super high expectations that it was withhold all of the books that we have bought for our son. But this bookshelf has outlasted all of the expectations that we had set for it. We put probably about 200 bucks both board books and picture books on this bookshelf and it has not bent or broken at all. This bookshelf was very easy to put together. I believe it only took about 30 minutes total and after that, we just started loading his books onto it. The material of the bookshelf itself is either very thick and durable plywood or regular hardwood, but it does withhold quite a lot of weight. This bookshelf matches perfectly with any kind of room design for the most part as long as you were going with neutral color tones for your furniture. I love this bookshelf and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I was looking for a bookcase for my specific needs - narrow and not too tall. This one seemed to fit the bill. Pros: sturdy, easy to assemble, open back (for wires), relatively inexpensive for the quality Cons: the open areas on the side for where the screws go in don’t look the nicest and the bookshelf itself has an unpleasant smell, which seemed to be a common issue among the reviews of almost every bookshelf I looked at. Overall I think I’d purchase again but only because we are using it for the nursery and our baby hasn’t arrived yet. I don’t think I’d be letting my kid sleep in the room with this thing offgassing. If you have a garage or someplace to let it air out for a little bit before putting it in a sleeping space, I’d recommend that. Also pay attention to the size - I knew it would be small but it seemed even smaller in person. Again, not an issue for me but might be for some buyers.

Just as expected! Super cute, matches my daughter’s room. Also has a wall anchor. You can fit lots of books on this bookshelf. Super easy to assemble. Perfect height for my toddler.

Update: After a few days the smell is gone. I did not take it outside like some of the other reviews mentioned, I just left it in my son’s room and today there was no smell. Love this!! It was super easy to put together. I did it by myself and it took about 20 minutes. The book case is sturdy and fits most books. My son had two tall books that would not fit upright so I just laid them down. It does have a smell but I didn’t smell it until after I had assembled everything and left the room then came back. Overall this is a great book shelf that will last a long time!

Perfect size for toddler books. Very sturdy and fits perfect into smaller areas. Larger books can go on top.

A breeze fixing this but some imperfections exist which is why it's not a 5 star product. Otherwise, the material is excellent and very sturdy.

Great so far. Only thing was there was a chemical smell to the bookshelf but just aired it out a few days and it's been fine.
