Empty Cable Reel with Metal Frame Suitable for a Wide Range of Cables

I purchased two of these reels to house 30m of shielded CAT8 cable on each reel.Really easy to install, simply remove the outer cover and feed the cable through the inner cylinder - drill a hole in the outer cover and feed the cable through the hole and replace the outer cover.The reel comfortably accommodates 30m of CAT8 cable and could probably hold 50m.

Reasonable product.I used it to spoil our Christmas lights for the front garden.Works as expected.Solid construction (doesn't feel flimsy).Would also be good for reeling electrical cable / power leads, etc.

Brought this to store my 50m of garden fairy lights. Worked a treat. Very smooth action and easily stored the lights. It also has a stop so the reel doesn’t unwind. The sturdy box it came in was a bonus as it lets me keep the lights on the reel stored in the box.

The ridiculous 50m ethernet cable I own and occasionally have use for, was proving tricky to keep tidy and there was no way I was ever going to be able to get it back in the box it was originally purchased in.I'm very happy with this purchase, which has allowed me to turn the big tangle into a tidy reel. There are several nice features including extra holes to allow access to the "inner end" of the cable, and stays that allow you to wind the excess from that end on the banking plate. This means I have some "reach" from that the "inner end" without having it trailing free or being confused with the "outer end".Perhaps these are all standard features in a reel (I never bought one before), but if they aren't they probably should be.On first use I was a little frustrated that there is no handle to help wind the reel only one to carry it ... but actually the handle for carrying can be removed and can be slotted onto the side for this purpose.

It is what it is but could be much better if it had a way of securing the cable on the spool before winding in. After some frustration, I now wrap about 18" of the "inside" end of the cable around/through the clips on the outside of the spool, clamping the socket down with the cable, then wind the rest of the cable onto the spool. Other than that it makes a much tidier job of handling cable than winding it round your arm then hloping it stays in place.

Great value for money - I bought mine to neatly store the extra long hose for my Karcher pressure washer...20 metres of the stiff high pressure hose fits just great on this reel (as shown in the photo), you could probably get another 10 metres on as well.

I wanted a lightweight cable reel to cope with a caravan 25metre hook up cable. Saw this and purchased it. It arrived promptly and was a reasonable price.
