Worked well for a few months and super handy but just last week the handle broke. The plastic top lets the whole thing down - wood or metal would have been better.

This is not a big shovel.So you get it in 3 parts, head, handle and pole. You also get the alan key and the tiny spanner, so all tools needed are included.Once assembled it is quite small, I did find it odd that the alan key can be stored in the handle since it is not a strong place to store it and it just falls out.It is either great for someone short or for someone who only needs it for some light work, either way it is actually working well for me and the light jobs I am using it for.I do appreciate the sponge around the base of the stem, nice little grip thing although it will probably break under some serious work.

Handle snapped on first use trying to remove small shrub. Had to go to B&Q and buy a new one.

This is brilliant! You are on your knees weeding and the hand implement is not sufficient to raise the roots, getting up is tiresome but THIS spade is ideal at just the length to use when kneeling.It is ideal weight and a quality finish.
