Leifheit41520 Duster XL

Leifheit seem to be the only company that make really long telescopic poles for dusting high ceilings. I bought the pole a couple of years ago with one of their nylon bristle brush attachments but I needed something softer for light fittings etc. The Extra Large Hand Held Duster is brilliant. Big and thick, it picks up dust in an instant and is a joy to use hand-held but best of all it clips onto the pole so can be used in those really hard to reach areas too. A quality European-made item unlike any other I've come across (and I've searched long and hard). I totally recommend it.

The shape of the duster, now that I review it, is not quite ideal to the purpose as, you will mostly be using the tip of the duster, using the fibers closer to your hand is sometimes awkward. Nevertheless, it does dust effectively, and it stood up to its first wash quite well. Also, the spine which holds the fibers is flexible, I can see how that would be useful, but it doesn't fill me with confidence in regards to the durability of the dusters construction. Either way, I'm glad to have it, for the price it is worthwhile.

This attached to the adjustable pole reaches very high areas and does effectively collect dust very well. I have used it on a hanging chandelier and it’s kept the glass dust free. This is the second one of these dusters I’ve had, I haven’t found another as effective as this as yet.

Really disappointed with this, just seems to push the dust around, does hold on to some dust as it has got dirty very quickly, can see the dust especially in shafts of sunlight being pushed to the end of a shelf and just falling to the floor, will go back to using the disposable Pledge ones as they seem to work a lot better!

This is a very practical piece of kit which I would highly recommend. Two negatives. 1) It's so effective that it gets mucky quickly (at least in my house) and I can't see any cleaning instructions so I'll have to guess...2) The wire going through the duster bit is very flexible - in other words it bends easily and has to be bent back. Not sure how many 'bending backs' it will take - only time will tell.

This is a really great quality duster compared to others I've purchased. It also fits onto the pole I bought with another accessory from this brand. Love the color too!

I already used the disposable Pledge equivalent of this and really wanted to like this product as a viable alternative. Unfortunately, it just isn't that good and does not really compare to the Pledge one which may look inferior, but gives a better result by far.

This is a very sturdy duster, which is very easy to use because of the length of the hairs.
