Life saver
I have a townhouse that I rent out and one of the plugs there had way too much play or movement in it. The outer plug cover had broken due to the excessive play. When I got there to see what needed to be done to fix it, I noticed the bottom screw that normally holds the bottom of the plug snug to the wall/elec box was broken off and only the screw part of the screw was still in the box and the head of the screw was gone. Thinking I might have to remove the box (and part of the wall to get to it) I first looked online to see what cool new innovative things might help me. I have never heard of these clips till then. Reading the reviews I noticed a couple of people that stated the screw threads tend to strip out when using these. I quickly realized the issue, the people used them wrong. The screw threads that people complain are stripping out is caused because when the screw is "screwed" in, it hits the box or whatever and no longer goes "in". The screw and the repair clip is doing its job however, with no room for the screw to go in farther, it causes the threads on the screw to strip! When I put mine in, I first used a 1/8" drill bit and drilled a hole for the screw to go into if needed. If your box is broken where the screw would normally go and is broken off/missing, you won't obviously need to drill out an area for the length of the screw to go into. After I drilled an access way for the screw, I put the repair clip on and attached the receptacle. It screwed down very tightly and was just like new, no movement! Just remember to try to center the plug and have it as plumb as possible. I normally use the "unbreakable" or nylon covers on all my plug and switch covers and since they are also a little bigger than the old fashion hard breakable ones, if your plug is positioned a little off center it will still cover any gaps left. These clips were amazing and worked perfectly! You will need to use them correctly and allow room for the screw to go in without bottoming out and they will work perfectly for you too! These repair clips saved me lots of time and money. I didn't have to tear apart the wall to remove the old box and then do a sheetrock repair taking hours to days to complete, I just took a couple minutes to install and then put everything back together. It looks like nothing ever happened except now the plug is super secure without any wiggle! I would highly recommend these clips for a repair to a broken box.

Perfect fix to broken plastic switch/outlet boxes
After remodeling our kitchen from neutral colors to the new cool white/gray palette (wife has a good eye), I was replacing outlets and switches and of course the top screw hole broke in two 28-year old plastic switch/outlet boxes because the plastic was a little brittle. I thought I was going to replace the entire box which is a major pain but found these repair clips after a quick Google/YouTube/Amazon search. They are very easy to use. Just press them in over the old, damaged screw hole and screw the switch or outlet into the replacement screw hole these provide. There was no need to modify the switch/outlet box. Before installing, I did flip the breaker off for safety as these are metal but after installation the metal does not come into play because the wires are deep in the box. Took all of 2 minutes to remove the cover plate, remove the switch screws and insert the repair clips. These probably saved me an hour of work for each switch/outlet box and that's if I had no other problems creep up.

Saved me so much time with broke plastic outlet box.
These clips saved me from so much additional work. The top and bottom screw hole in a plastic outbox box were broken. These clips slid between the drywall and the outlet box, basically creating a new screw holes. Outlet screwed into place and is super secure. I expect these metal clips will outlast the rest of the plastic box.

Doesnt secure well to box.
I thought it would secure itself to the box better. It would pull back off rather easy.
