Excellent product
I needed it to coat the inside of my metal melting foundry. Perfect for the job, and has lasted several cycles.

Let it burn.
This worked great for my forging and smelting ovens. Curing time is about 24-48 hrs depending on weather conditions.

Rather impressive performance
The title says it all. I’ve got a furnace that I take up to temperatures to melt metal all the time. Most recently I took it up to 2410°. This Satanite didn’t even bat an eye. Didn’t crack, didn’t have any problems. Just stood there and did exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Did not come with mixing ratios but I had the original information.
Relined a Mr. Volcano forge. It seemed to work best for me when mixed to the consistency of sour cream.

Use as directed
Just a freindly reminder to follow the instructions. I purchased a box of this, which I have used before to bould a forge in a propane bottle. I used it for a small project this time, and mixed up some product, filled a small void, or so I thought which was about 1 1/2" in width, by 3" deep, in a circle, or ring. the product never really hardened up.This product is made specifically for coating thin layers of kao wool to ruggedize and offer a barrier. it is great for that.

More than enough and has held up great
Waaaay more than needed to coat my Vevor furnace. This has held up great for the past year and I have plenty to recoat in the future if needed

Perfect for my husband's forge
My husband has a propane forge for his blacksmithing. He's used Hellcote from Hell's Forge up to now, which is the only refractory he'd used that stood up over time. This past year we had to completely redo the wool and refractory but did it when HF was completely sold out of Hellcote. After looking around we settled on Satanite, and my husband LOVES it. Super easy to mix and apply, and the packages made it so easy to not make and waste WAY too much. We'll likely be switching to Satanite for the future, but so far I don't see us needing to redo the refractory for a while, and we still have plenty of bags for touch ups!

Good stuff
Mixed up well, go to Mr volcano for mixing directions. I put two coats on my wool and let dry each time for 48 hours with a light bulb inside. Works great
