This is a fantastic heater. Excellent heat output, with three main settings plus a dial so that, for each of the three main settings, you can further adjust heat output.Mostly I heat a bedroom but this can heat my big living room if I put it on an hour or two in advance. I got the biggest one and in truth the next-smaller one would have been enough.The heater is quite heavy. It rolls easily on carpet but if you have to lift it even a bit, beward of the weight. The casters are definitely strong enough.Careful of the casters, as they fold in and out. You fold them out when you first set up the unit. I've had one fold back in when I was pulling the heater over an uneven surface. If you're moving it on an even surface, the casters are strong and don't fold in.I've not yet used the timer function because you need to keep in turned on all the time for the timer to work. And I always turn it off at night, and often for a few hours in the day. So that timer isn't very useful for me.An excellent heater. Pricey, but it works well. I got this to replace a cheap 30-quid heater that I returned because the heat output was so low you could put your hand on it even on the highest setting. This heater, by contrast, heats wonderfully well. if you can afford it, you'll not regret getting this.

Moves easily - heats up very quickly - heat output is impressive ( I have big rooms with high ceilings) I suspect there may be a slight possibility of rationed Gas this winter ( 2022) - therefore I did my research into the most cost effective oil radiator with maximum output ( given the size of the rooms) which advised this was one of the better ones - I tested it on arrival and was so pleased I bought another. The 24hr timer is easy to use too.September update: Had cause to use due to cold snap ( live right on north east coast - houses are Victorian, brick work unable to be insulated, hence freezing) and very pleased with the radiator thermostat regulating heat in what are difficult rooms to heat. I’m buying a third for another floor.23 oct 2022 update: used a fair few times now and the ‘new’ smell has gone from the radiators. I’ve noticed I can tell instantly when I walk into a room if the heater is ( or has been) on. They make little to no sound ( a very slight metal sound and an occasional, very subtle gurgle sound for first few moments when turned on - although not always)April 2023: have received a full winter of use and the exact cost and can confirm that the bills are reasonable ( I was expecting worse as t has ha sow heavy usage) I will continue to use this instead of the gas for heating the primary use rooms.2025 update: well used this radiators. Bills are not overly inflated due to the clever inbuilt thermostats and they operate as good as they did on first purchase. Wouldn’t be without them now.

I ordered two of these and, like others had experienced, both arrived dented, which was disappointing because it is turning very cold. So we wavered over whether cosmetic damage was worth the hassle of returning the items, but finally decided that we should not settle for damaged goods. However, we needn't have worried because the returns procedure means that a replacement is sent out straight away. The main downside though is the only option for us to return them is by humping them to the post office, which is really inconvenient for heavy bulky items, such as these. No Amazon locker, no collection.Once in operation, however, these are worth every penny. Our flat is a very draughty, high ceilinged Victorian thing, around 75 m3 and despite having two cast iron radiators and an open fire, the evenings are chilly. Leaving one of these on, the air warmed up very quickly. The design of the chimneys, ie the scales of the dragon's back, which I'd imagine is the reason for the name of the model, means that the heat is drawn through and distributed efficiently. You can really feel the heat coming up through these and our room warmed up well. So, it is a really good heater but the incidence of denting which other reviewers have reported might be a big hint that the panels could be made to a higher spec. If that pushes the price up, though, the cosmetic imperfection is just that. Add to that, Delonghi's 10 year guarantee, and these are a really good buy.

my bedroom starts of hot and then gets very cold overnight even with windows shut. using this product i have on for a few hours between 3-8am. the room no longer goes unbearably cold and i can actually remove my blanket at early hours as gets warm enough. the bedroom is small. the build quality is robust but the fold out wheels could be stronger, probably not an issue if you are going to have in one area and not move it about. manual is not too good but you can watch a youtube video on how to use the controls which are similar in most of these types of devices. the main thing is you dont have to keep turning it on like some digital variants with a 24hr timer. this is set an forget and will come on at whatever times you have set. reading the reviews of the cheaper comparable products i say buy this as 1 reliable brand 2 good quality and 3 long warranty . i suspect this will last 20 years.
