Quick success!
Our reactive rescue is 6 and has never let us cut his nails and has damaged more than a few pieces of our clothing with his long nails. He had piece of felt stuck to a chip in his nail and after a few days it would not come off. This board has been the best investment we have ever made!! He learned in just 10 minutes how to scratch at it and the chip on his nail was filed off letting the cloth loose. Full disclosure high yield treats roasted chicken and beef were used. He learned quickly . My daughters enjoy filing his nails!! We will be doing this routinely now every few weeks. Txs for saving us from a trip to the vet!

It’s a board with sandpaper
It’s just a board with medium grit sandpaper on one side and course on the other. Has some replacement sheets as well. Was just going to make one myself but for $20 and zero effort, this was a good solution. Now trying to get my pit bull, who’s deathly afraid of nail clipping, to learn to use.I’ve tried clippers, Dremel, putting her in a suspended harness with no luck. The vet clipped her nails her last visit. She was even more terrorized after so it only made it worse. I’m out of ideas so this will have to work!Bottom line: $20 is nothing. Don’t be a cheap ass and just buy it if you’re struggling with clipping your dogs nails.

Kinda works?
My dog hates getting her nails trimmed (and I hate trimming them because they’re black so it’s hard to see the quick). This board seemed like a great idea.First of all, the board is good quality, although it technically is just a piece of wood with sand paper attached to it. But the product is objectively good quality.Training my dog to use it wasn’t hard, which I think is just luck. However, it only really files her two longest ”toes”, because they are longer and stick out more. Her “pinky” and “thumb” don’t get enough exposure to the board to actually get filed, so they stay long and end up curling back toward her paw. Then I have to trim those anyway and we’re right back where we started. Also, the suggested training for getting them to file their back claws involves letting them partially climb onto your couch or some kind of furniture. My dog is a German shepherd mix, so that just straight up isn’t happening. All in all, good idea, but maybe half baked.

Don’t waste your money
I have 3 dogs. Very well trained. Not one of them uses this.

Unbelievable
Our German Shepherd HATES his nails trimmed with the clippers. This is the best creation ever. He doesn't mind it at all. We use the command "dig" only because he's use to it and he does get rewarded with treats. Honestly I set a timer for 2 minutes about a minute each paw so he doesn't get over it. His back nails tend to stay short so we only use it for the front paws. Its super easy to use with your pup if you have trouble trimming. I am so grateful for this since it was always a stressful experience for him. When I bring out the board he's ready for it especially because he gets some of his favorite treats. Its a win win for us!

Amazing product
I love this product for my adopted dog. We got her at 2 years and she has always hated getting her nails done, and puts on a whole drama when it comes to her nails getting trimmed. It usually requires multiple people and a muzzle and so many treats. This board has helped her get excited for nails. At first she was scared because she knew it was for her nails, but she quickly realized that all she had to do was touch it with her paw to get a treat and all was good. She kept going because she was enjoying it and felt safe doing it. With no pressure or any added stress it was great to find something that finally worked. I’ve tried about every trick in the book but without knowing her full history I want to keep it as positive as possible when it comes to stressful events like getting her nails done. 10/10 recommend this product

love
I have a big giant dog and she was becoming a bit aggressive when it came to nail trimmings. I got this to try something new and now manicure time is her favorite. She already knew "shake" so it took almost nothing to teach her how to use it and she is a very food-oriented girly so with some treat rewards she caught on very quickly, and it filed her nails well! the only thing I would say is it can be hard to reach the nails on the sides, so I ended up having to trim a nail on each foot but the whole activity desensitized her to having her nails touched so even that wasn't a bit issue.

Updated review,
So we were sent a smaller and new one, we were informed it would be messy. So we went ahead and found an alternative for this, for us having a dog with white socks and a light coat we decided to use a towel, which is where we placed the ink side. Everyday we practice with jasper, he tends to freak out but he’s learned to like it. The steps do help and please be patient. These dogs don’t like change and the instructions help alot. Our dog doesn’t like treats, so we tried it with a piece of ham and it works. I definitely would recommend. As per the ink try to place a rag over it and make it an outdoor activity. Helps with their anxiety.
