Said it would make a stronger signal. It did just that. I got 3.3 miles in the city. Added an extra mile to my range. Getting 2 more now.

Increased range to 5 miles over land with good sound quality

I purchased these to add to our walkie talkies that were purchased. We were having difficulties getting consistent signals and communication across the property (40 acres). I contacted the manufacturer and they suggested we buy the longer antennas. We bought these and it's helped a bit, but still struggling with consistent, clear communication. If you need radios for long range, I would suggest buying these at the same time.
