Unbelievable that this thing is as inexpensive as it is. Works great.
Can't beat this for the money, even at 3 or 4 times this price. In fact, a prominent car audio website sells a version that looks identical to this camera, but charges $50 for it. Camera quality is fantastic, looks OEM when flush mount installed, provides clear images both day and night (albeit not HD - but my head unit doesn't display HD anyway - it's more than good enough for backup purposes). Install was pretty straightforward. The drill bit that came with it was of surprising quality (much better than the bits shown in photos of competing units). Finally, I can't say enough good about the customer support, I messaged them via Amazon and the response was quick, fully addressed my question, had quick follow up on a subsequent question, and offered further support as needed. Refreshing.

Best bargain on Amazon! Seriously.
As others have noted, this camera both works incredibly well and is an amazing bargain for the price. It has two more benefits I want to specificially mention. #1, it comes with every possible accessory to make the installation easy and straightforward. It even includes a 18.5mm hole saw (I didn't want to cut a hole in my car so I created a 3D printed mount for it, but if you need a hole saw this alone will save you many dollars for something you'd probably use only once). The video cable to run from the rear to the head unit includes a discrete wire to carry the reverse signal, saving you the need to source and route a separate wire. They include wire splices to make connections if you need them. They even include a roll of electrical tape. The list goes on and on. The included accessories alone are worth the price, AND you get the camera in the deal. #2, the seller is AMAZING. We had a minor shipping issue with ours and the seller responded instantly, resolving the matter within a couple of days. The quantity and quality of their email communications is the best we've ever seen from any vendor on Amazon or anywhere else. We knew exactly what was happening every single day. THIS is how everyone should handle Customer Service! A++++ A couple of technical comments: A) The camera works very well. The image is sharp and very wide, exactly what you want for a rear (or front) camera. It powers up quickly so there's none of that annoying delay between going into reverse and waiting for the camera to catch up. B) The camera uses a traditional 4:3 aspect ratio. Many (most?) of today's head units use wider aspect ratios so this camera will have some blank side borders on the display. That is not an error. Bottom line: This is the camera you want. And the seller you want. Look no further. My highest recommendation!

This is a cheap backup camera that appears to work OK.
For the asking price it is great. I don't have trouble seeing the picture day or night. I ran into an issue where my video has interference lines on the screen most of the time. Sometimes it clears up for a second but comes right back. I presume it's either the way I tapped into 12v to the camera or interference from something that the RCA cable runs parallel to like the fuel pump or whatever. The hole saw that comes with it worked perfectly into the plastic tail gate bezel that I installed the camera into. I lucked out with the 2009 Avalanche for the perfect spot to put it for a stealth install and I also lucked out that the camera cable JUST reaches under the tail gate for the perfect length. I bought this camera because it came with a long enough cord to get me under the vehicle and through the fire wall. I had about 1.5 feet worth of free RCA cord. Long story short, hopefully I won't back over anyone's kid now. I'm including photos of the camera mounted as well as the interference pattern I see when I've got the vehicle in reverse. The moment I got the camera installed we had a 32F snow storm and I couldn't see out of it when it got snow on it. I went home and put Rain-X on the glass lens and this helps. Rain rolls off of it and only forms in smaller droplets. So do yourself a favor and do that.

Tiny camera/big results!!!
Just installed this tiny camera on the front bumper of my truck and it makes parking in the tight spaces at my parking garage at work easier. I can roll up almost to the wall without bumping the nose anymore. The view is crystal clear and the camera is unnoticeable. I highly recommend this if you're in the need for an inconspicuous replacement on your vehicle.

Great Deal considering......
This camera is not high definition by any standard. But the camera does what its supposed to do. Box is complete with tools, super duper circle cutter with pilot bit, color instructions and just enough wire for my compact suv. I used up an xtra 6 ft around the back door when I was forced to go up and over. If I hadnt done that, then the wire would have been way too long. Might want to investigate how many feet you will need for your vehicle which will require assessing the route that will hide wires. I would recommend that you remove all the trim ahead of time while you are waiting for the delivery. Also, go ahead and remove the panels on liftgate or trunk at the same time. Word of warning, if you put your camera under the overhang above your license plate, then the overhang at the top of the monitor will show it due to the fisheye lens. I thought it was a smart idea to keep the lens out of the rain. Turns out not so smart. Also, the bezel does not tighten down sufficiently. Design needs to be improved. A washer might help, havent tried it yet. Update: washer was a no go. I had to take the exterior bezel to the bench grinder to remove about 1/16". Making it shorter made it possible to tighten it properly. Lot of fn around and wasting my time. This isnt going to work for most buyers if the chose the "cut a hole" option. After they cut the massive hole they will realize that it is not possible to tighten the bezel. This is because the sheet metal where you are cutting the hole is too thing. Trust me......the washer Idea will not work. At this point, I do not recommend buying this until the design is changed so that it will properly tighten to thin sheet metal. Update jan 16. Sorry to say this is a really bad backup camera. I tried to use it before giving a bad rating. As others have said...the colored guides are shooting into the air. Contrast and brightness are really unacceptable, even after messing with the color adjustments on my touchscreen radio. But I really hate about this is the magnification. A car 6 feet behind you looks like its 100 feet away. Sort of like looking in the wrong end of a pair of binoculars. I know this review will likely cause agita for the seller but it is what it is. Really disappointed and, no, I don't want a free new one or a refund. This is just a review to inform potential buyers that you get what you pay for. I will give big kudos for the tool kit and metal hole cutter that was include though. Those hole cutters cost 6-7 bucks in the big box stores. If they didnt include the tools they could sell this camera $8.....which is about what it is worth. If you are depending on this camera for daily use while backing up then this is not for you. I really don't even know what it might be good for, not even a driveway monitor. Magnification is just to low. Maybe YT has some DIY backup cams that are better than this. Sorry. BTW this is 170 degree fisheye lens. Should be 140 degrees. Too much distortion at 170.

DIY rear view camera for my Travel Trailer
I bought this camera and a few other parts to build a lower priced DIY rear view camera to use behind my 30 ft 5th wheel RV. Before I get into the details I want to say that having the camera looking behind my RV was amazing and it will be very hard to ever go backwards in time and not have a rear view camera when towing an RV. So the set up I used is as follows. Parts from Amazon: 1. (1) RAAYOO Direct L002 170 Degree Wide View Angle back up Camera 2. (1) EKYLIN 30 foot Car RCA DC Video Extension Cable 3. (1) Electop Audio Video Gold RCA Female to Female Coupler Adapter 4. (1) Youmei Car Backup Camera Realtime Video WiFi Transmitter 5. (1) SPARKING DC 5.5 x 2.1mm Car Charger Power Supply Cord - 12v -24v 4FT Cigarette Lighter Male Plug to DC Connector 5.5 x 2.1mm Cable 6. Plus you will need a tablet or smart phone to view the video image app. I used a tablet I already owned but the app also worked on my smart phone I mounted the Reverse Backup Camera on the inside of the RV high up in the rear window of the fifth wheel using one of the window frame screws and then added the 30 foot Video Extension Cable to run from the camera up to the front of the RV where I connected it to the WiFi Transmitter on the inside of the RV which was powered by the 12 volt Car Charger Power Supply Cord. Luckily there was already a 12 volt outlet in the very front area of the RV. We install the extension cable between the camera and the transmitter before each trip and uninstall it after we arrive at each location. It takes just a minute to do. The cable just lays on the floor when underway. The reason the WiFi transmitter needs to be in the front of the RV is to reduce the distance and reduce signal interference from walls between the transmitter and the tablet located in the cab of my pick-up truck. After getting the WiFi transmitter linked to the tablet via the app, which was somewhat of a hassle, the system worked pretty well except for a few occasional cut outs and other unstable image problems. I mostly blamed these problems on Wifi interference and just accepted it as normal. I used this system for over one year and the image gradually became less stable. Finally the image was off more than it was on so I contacted the camera vendor, RAAYOO, through Amazon and complained. I really didn’t expect much from them since it had been 15 months since I purchased it and the camera was only $20 to begin with. To my surprise RAAYOO got back to me and had some suggestions regarding troubleshooting the problems. They thought that it was not a camera problem but a power supply intermittent ground problem. So the first thing I checked was the power supply. The power supply cord has a indicator light. And when I wiggled the plug, the light stayed on and steady. This ruled out the power supply itself . I then hooked the cables all back together and started wiggling the connections. Sure enough the image dropped out when the cable was wiggled. So I took out the 30 ft extension cable and hooked up the camera direct to the power supply cables. When wiggled the image was stable. I could not make it drop out. I hooked the extension cable back in and it became unstable again. So RAAYOO was right, the problem was a ground in the extension cable, so I ordered a new cable from a different manufacturer. I now am thinking that the extension cable was probably bad from the day I bought it and the problem just grew worse over time. The camera is working perfectly now that we figured it out thanks to the good support from RAAYOO. I am still enjoying my RV rear view camera and I think it is probably a better system than the factory units that try to transmit the WiFi signal all the way from the rear of the RV to the tow vehicle. It is just too far and too many obstacles for the WiFi to work well. I have not received any kind of compensation from RAAYOO or any other vendor for writing this review. I just hope it helps others troubleshoot their rear view camera issues.
