Q: Would this stick to the roof of a car?

Do you mean roof inside car It will stick to any material surface as its like velcro. So yes it will stick to inside roof but dont know how much weight it will hold in that position. Its hot 4 suction bits on 4 corners I use it on back seat in boot and holds 1lrr bottle of screen wash. Hope this helps

Q: im looking to use this is my motorhome. How does it fix onto the surface of whatever you are fixing it to.

It has velcro strips either side. So is perfect on any carpeted surface like car boot or back of seats. Depends what you want to attach it to. These are great in car's boot!

Yes they are sewn. So as to give a storage pouch. I have found mine useful - for storing things in the boot of my car.

Not quite sure what you mean - but this come in several sizes - 4 or 5 if I recall. the size I bought worked for me - good product.
