Works great
I wasn’t sure what to expect for it, but it turned out to be a great value and product. Holds a lot of water and fills while the dog drinks. The design is good and can be attached to anything, we screwed it to a log from our yard. It comes with sleeve anchors to attach to masonry as well so you could attach it directly to your foundation. Nice not having to worry about the dog.A heads up, the included adapter is the wrong size. I didn’t even realize it came with one anyway, but you will need a 3/4” GHT to 1/2” NPT to attach inlet or included hose to a garden hose. The one included is 3/4” GHT to 3/4” NPT, so you could also use a reducing fitting as well instead of purchasing a new adapter.

Seems like good quality so far
The media could not be loaded. So far so good; easy to set up and seems like good quality for the price. I like that it came with a spare replacement float as well. I was worried the hose would be too short, but ended up being the perfect length. My only real complaint is I wish it came with washers to go between the screws and the bowl, but very minor "issue". Had it set up and running within 10min. Dogs were scared/confused by the auto fill at first, but they got over it. Nice to know that as it gets hotter they will have unlimited fresh water available at all times and the drain hole makes it super easy to empty and clean; though a quick pull plug would be a nice feature vs unscrewing a plastic nut and bolt, but for the price am very happy with the overall quality. Time will tell if it holds up.

Difficult to properly clean
Works as intended, but I've found it difficult to clean behind the float lever. I use this for waterfowl in their overnight enclosure. I clean it twice a day and rarely feel like I actually get it clean enough. I use Oasis soap and a scrub brush, but never feel like it's clean enough because I can't scrub the buildup from behind the float valve and mechanism well.

Huge time saver and looks much cleaner now
The media could not be loaded. I was getting really tired of having to constantly change my dog’s water. It took up more time than I expected, especially on busy days. This automatic water dispenser has made a big difference. My dog always has fresh water now, and I don’t have to keep checking and refilling the bowl throughout the day.The installation was kind of easy, but I did have to disassemble part of it to reach the screws in the back, which added a little extra time. I also used a hole saw to run the hose through the wall so it would look more organized. It was a bit of extra work, but definitely worth it.The unit itself is very sturdy, made of high-quality stainless steel, and built to last. The area around the bowl stays cleaner now, and the whole setup looks much neater. I’m very happy with it.

Must be mounted to a stand or wall
This bowl has a rounded bottom and two holes in the back of the bowl. Every time an excited dog drinks from the bowl, it tips backwards and spills water on the floor. Worse, the drain plug can cause the bowl to remain tipped and water to run constantly onto the floor. The valve and float are finicky and take a long time to adjust properly. The fittings to not swivel, so attaching the hoses is awkward and excessively labor intensive.Overall, keep looking, there are much better designs out there.

SS auto dog waterer
Waterer has worked as adverised. I made sure to flush out hoses before connecting to domestic water avoiding contamination to shut off valve seat. Another tip is i marked both halves of stop adjustment with a black felt pen. This gives me reference where to start adjusting from and place to start adjustments over again when needed. I mounted to a 3/4” aboard and mounted that to porch 4x4 posts by pinch clamp. This avoided making holes in postWould strongly recommend this waterer

Good potential, poor execution
In theory, this is a great idea and eases the daily hassle of filling a water bowl up. In reality, not so much. I've had this thing for almost a year and it worked great for a good 4-5 months. The biggest issue that I've found is that the water float valve and arm became very fragile and when I went to start it back up for my dogs this spring, the valve had become almost dryrotted and broke immediately after water flow started through it. Broke float valve renders the automatic water null. The mounting lip is also not strong enough to support the weight of a half gallon of water and pulls out of a wood mounting surface relatively easy.Size wise, it's perfect because its out of the way, design wise it could use a little more thought put into it and have a little higher quality materials used for the internal working parts, but for less than $40, I guess you get what you pay for, value doesn't stack up. It is very easy to clean up with a plastic drain plug on the bottom to make cleaning quick and easy. If it had higher quality float valve, I'd give it an additional star. Better mounting design AND that float valve, it would be a 5 star item.
