[UPDATE 11.12.2023]I have had this installed for some time now and I love this shackle.I only have a minor complaint. All in all, this seems like a solid product. However, you may want to do some testing as I will to ensure it is going to be able to withstand a load and stress. I have had non name brand systems fail before and it can cost a lot of money if it happens at the wrong time. So be sure to put this through the paces. This shackle kit is awesome! It has everything you need to attach it to your bumper or winch. The shackle itself seems to be high quality with no seams or anything which leads me to believe that this was molded and cast as a single piece. It has a very nice textured finish with a nice feeling solid weight.If you look in the top of where the shackle goes in, you can see layer lines. So, I think this was made from a 3D printed prototype and then cast in metal. Maybe the seller would contact me to confirm or discuss it.Either way, this is a great kit which adds a cool flair to the outside of your vehicle. Now we have to find a clip of some kind that can be attached to this shackle as this replaces having a hook on the end of your line. That is the only downside to this as the way this attaches means that if you need a hook, you either have to remove this shackle or find a clip that can go through the shackle and remove the hook every time you want to put the shackle back onto the mount.This is also priced amazingly at the moment at only 60$ on sale. For the quality of this set, I would definitely say it's worth it!

I don’t use the hooks that come with winches and I don’t use steel winch lines either. Synthetic is superior in every way and soft shackles are ideal in many situations. This type of thimble is geared more towards soft shackles and synthetic lines although it would work with steel cable too, it would just get chewed up quickly. I like that it’s a skull. That’s different for sure. The construction seems solid and it’s heavy and robust which indicates it has the ability to withstand a lot of abuse. The pin is sized properly and it’s backed with a rubber pad so it can be snuggled up to the fairlead and won’t vibrate and make noise. It comes with two styles of clips to fit various roller style or Hawse fairleads and either of those can be rotated 90° as well so there’s lots of options. I haven’t used this on a pull yet but I’m confident it will work well. It sure looks good either way!

First the packaging of this was outstanding. Very protective, but easy to access the parts. The directions were straightforward and if this kind of stuff is new to you easy to follow. The assembly was very easy and I was able to get it done in less than hour. However, you do need a snap ring plier for this, other wise no issues.The quality of the manufacturing is great and the stylizing of the skull is not over done. The ratings for this shackle is clearly stamped on the side. I wasn't able to use the the nice noise canceler that came with this since my fairlead/bumper angles down while my winch is slightly elevated. This is a non-issue for me since the winch keeps it secure when stowed anyhow.If your looking for something for your recovery setup that has a little different touch I recommend this.

This shackle set is top-notch in every way. The design of the skull is sure to spark some interesting discussion. Mounting it is a breeze. It has everything you need to securely connect it to your vehicle's winch or bumper. The shackle seems to be of good quality since there are no seams or other distinguishing features. It has a perfectly textured surface, and its substantial weight feels quite pleasant to the touch.

This winch shackle is solid, and well built. It works perfectly with my soft shackles. The skull design is definitely a conversation starter. The only negative with this product, is that the mounting clips were not long enough to hold in the fairlead, even when using the larger ones provided. I opted to secure the shackle with the winch rope.

Easy to mount. When you screw in the bolt through the mouth it holds the clips open and secure. I eliminated rattle with a snug winch line. Once on the trail and it's needed I will just snug it up without the holder.

looks to be constructed from one block of aluminum. Large shackle hole to fit multiple size ropes, shackles, etc. The shackle has a separate mounting apparatus with a machined bolt that holds it in place. Great skull design for a unique look.
