I ordered this to create a protective edge on top of the steel edge around the perimeter of my Hitch Haul carrie to protect luggage from being damaged by the thin steel edge of the vertical sides of the carrier. This weatherstrip was the perfect size and thickness. It arrived in a nice, neat coil. I simply measured, test fit, trimmed to length and installed. I found it was easiest to apply the entire strip, press it down firmly in place, pull off the red glue protective strip then press the glue strip against the carrier’s side. Very simple and easy install. A quality product.

While the edge protector was reasonably priced & easy to install, 2 issues. It didn't adhere to the inner door lip very well. After just 10 days it was very dark & dingy. A wet cloth wiped off most the grime it had collected, I'd never seen that with any other door edge protector.

Moonroof/sunroof had dry-rotted gasket remaining, causing a leak into the cabin and down the pillars especially considering the drain tubes were compacted with dirt. Anyways, replacing the window gasket itself with this has completely renewed life into my vehicle. Thanks so much!

Adhesive tape was not good as was sticking to itself.

Easy to install. Use rubbing alcohol to clean back side of door edge. Sticks way better. Looks good and really protects door edge.

I have an X5 where the tailgate will occasionally go up if I sit on my key fob the wrong way at home. When it lifts it gets stuck on the garage door panels and off we don’t see it and try to open the garage door, it gets caught and also the paint on the tailgate gets chipped. I ran a strip of this along the bottom edge of the tailgate - problem solved. It looks good, doesn’t interfere with tailgate operation and is robustly secured so that it doesn’t come off when it gets caught. :) Happy camper! Would also work well as door guards if you were so inclined.

Easy to widen and put around whatever your using it for. The glue could be better that is under the red strip
