Unbeatable walking / outdoors trousers
Lightweight and water resistant (drips run down them as if on the surface of an apple), toughened but not rough, and forever keeping my legs at the correct temperature regardless of the weather or how much exercise I perform, this product ticks the comfort and practicality boxes with ease. The double thigh pockets are well designed with a zipped pocked half an inch below an open pocket on either side for convenience purposes, and with a sizable Velcro leg pocket on the lower right thigh and a quick-release belt, the trousers are all-round practical outdoor attire. If bought to wear with a pair of walking boots, I personally cannot stress enough that buying a longer pair is definitely worth it for those regular occasions when you stretch out or crouch down and don't wish to expose your lower legs. The relatively narrow bottoms of the trousers will never slide past the base of the boots making them a perfect combination.Quick drying, resistant to picking up smells due to the waxed surface and quite a challenge to permanently get dirty, assuming you don't burn a hole through them with a camp fire or slice them with a sharp knife (a blunt blade would likely slide off the surface), these trousers should last months unwashed in the rough. One of the best walking trousers on the market, and very reasonably priced, buy a pair which fit and match your colour preference and you simply can't go wrong.

HARD TO BEAT AS A GENERAL WALKING TROUSER
I have tried a number of different designs of walking trousers over the years but always keep coming back to the Kiwi Classic because they are soooooo comfortable and practical. That said, its not a 5-star review because there are pro’s and con’s.On the down side - I have two gripes:They claim to be water repellent but that is questionable. Maybe if you get lightly splashed you can quickly shake the water off and it won’t soak in, but take a walk through some long wet grass or walk in the rain and they absorb like a standard cotton trouser. So if you are looking to stay dry on a hillside, you will need an over trouser. Don’t mistake water repellent for showerproof – they aren’t.Unless I am the unluckiest shopper ever - Craghoppers seem to have a quality control issue. There is a wild variation in sizing that probably relates to which factory or which machine operator made each pair. I always order the same size and there seems to be no consistency in hip width, crutch length and the abdominal cut. Some come up really baggy and others fit like they are tailored for me. The only consistent feature appears to be leg length. So you may need to try on several pairs before you get a pair that suits you.On the plus side: Whilst I may be unimpressed with the water repellent claims, the claimed Stain Resistance does seem fair, because they wash up like new every single time. Really durable trousers that hold their colour well, with little in the way of fading or bleached seams/hems. Loads of pockets with good quality zips, nice iPhone 6 sized elasticated pocket inside the main thigh pocket. Good comfortable waist /belt line and really good reliable one-touch release belts included. They just feel really well made.

contemporary and functional leisure wear
This is the 5th pair of kiwi Craghoppers i have bought. I fell over them by accident looking for something suitable for a lapland trip (cotton polyester mix ideal) but they come into their own and I have used them for summer trips too. What i particularly like is that you can zip off the legs to turn them into shorts, so saves taking shorts and trousers. however the biggest selling point for me is the pockets, the inner zipped pockets offering for me a high level of security, with an outer part of pocket for your hangs, and rear zipped pockets and a map sized cargo pocket, itself with an inner part for pens, phones, mp3!they do not need ironing when washed, dry very quickly, always look smart, hard wearing, easy to clean. the belt is great too, no metal on it meaning airport security is a doddle no having to take your belt off.they are generous sizes, the SHORT is a good 30 inches (not 29).my oldest pair is over a year old and they look just as good as when i first bought them.

Comfortable trousers with 9 well placed pockets.
Although I've been wearing a range of Craghoppers tops for the past 12 months this is the first pair of trousers that I've purchased. The trousers are well made and have good quality zips and the 9 pockets are well located for practical use and a nylon belt is also included. They are very comfortable and I'm so impressed that I've already purchased a second pair, plus 2 pairs of the lined winter trousers. The trousers wash well and dry quickly if hung by the legs on a trouser hanger.I've worn Rohan clothing for over 20 years but can no longer justify their ridiculous prices and have been looking for an alternative for sometime. The Craghoppers trousers that I've purchased are comparable to Rohan in comfort, style and quality and represent good value.Highly recommended.
