What a brilliant product this is I never knew they existed until my neighbour told me.I wouldn't be without it now as you know exactly when plants need watering and no worry about over watering.

Very useful for looking after my indoor plants. Takes the guesswork out of watering. Simple to use. Inexpensive.

Great easy to use and quick result

I have been using this soil moisture meter for four months. I am very pleased with the product which seems robust and gives consistent readings which agree with the readings that I would expect.I find it particularly useful with plants in pots of peat free compost which can be very dry on the surface but moist further down.In my experience a good device.

Works well, this groovy little doohickey. Bought for our growing (no pun intended) collection of succulents as it's a bit difficult to how thirsty they are. This stabby fellow is great at poking through the stones and sand we have on the top to tell us what's going on in the depths... Now if only it would remind me to check in the first place...

Good price and quick and simple to use. Very effective.

The meter is actually pretty good easy to use and read, but in the right conditions.In normal house plant compost it works very well (the first picture), but ...In chunky, fast draining mixes (like for aroids), it doesn't (second picture).Both the plants are in the same size pots, and given the same amount of water, but as you can see from the pictures, the chunky mix registers dry(ish).My recommendation is that if your plants are in standard house plant mixes, this is a great device and value for money, and will certainly help you prevent over/under watering you plant babies. For chunky substrate mixes it's as useful as a chocolate teapot.
