Excellent and reasonably priced mouse.
I bought this for friends, having used many mice over the years, and being asked for a decent quality piece of wireless kit that would work well and last a while.Nicely made, accurate, responsive and with a good feature set for it's cost, the M560 is a quality wireless mouse that makes it's batteries last for a very very long time. It's not a rechargeable type, but it cost less than half the price of most of those types, and having to change a couple of standard batteries every several months is hardly a hardship. The forward and back buttons on the side, intended for use by the thumb (only really right-hander friendly) are awesome for internet research sessions. On the other hand, if you don't like Logitech's speed scroll feature, the scroll wheel on this will annoy you. The mouse is not a full size gamers mouse, but a sort of mid-sized office and internet use device. It has very little weight to it's self, but once you have a couple of good quality batteries in it, it reaches a decent and usable weight. You really should install Logitech's own mouse drivers to get the most out of the mouse in general, tho this is not always apparent as it will give basic functionality as a plug & play device. All in all, a very good mouse for portable use (the reciever for it's wireless reciever is of the "unified" type and so is very small - perfect for laptops) and for users that are not going to need a mouse to use for long intense gaming sessions. Competitively priced with other quality wireless mice.

Good size, functionality, price. Bad default setup, middle mouse button. Only useful for Windows
Pros:Buttons are re-programmable using the Logitech SetPoint software.Internet forward and back buttonsResponsive mouseGood size (I would prefer an even larger mouse, but I'm big)Extra buttons gained by pushing the scroll wheel over to left and right. I've reprogrammed this to be CTRL+SHIFT+TAB and CTRL+TAB (will cycle through the tabs i have open in an app)Cons:Bad button configuration out of the box. I understand that it's designed for windows 8 though. It would be difficult to get full functionality out of this mouse on a linux setup.Smooth scrolling is a bad idea. It means that there is no middle mouse button. The button behind the scroll wheel can be reprogrammed to become the middle mouse button, but a scroll wheel with middle click would be preferable)The chrome extension for smooth scrolling is horrible, do not install it.

Quick delivery and a great purchase, well done me
Quick delivery and a great purchase, well done me!But honestly, Logitech has done a great job making a nice mouse. I have looking for a normal size wireless mouse and decided to splash out. On Amazon it is around £10 cheaper than Logitech's own website, P&P not included. This mouse support Unify, where you only need one bluetooth dongle to attached multiple devices, I have got a keyboard and this mouse attached. Decent grip, nice rubberish feel to it. It took me couple of days to get used to this mouse. I have been using it for about 1 week so far I am quite happy with it. So far no negatives.

As a fan of Logitech products I'm very disappointed with this
I have a Logitech K800 Keyboard and thought I'd get a Logitech mouse to go with it. I'm a huge fan of Logitech products and have been for years. This mouse however is such a disappointment. I'll bullet point my thoughts:-1. It's advertised as "full size" but it isn't. It's slightly bigger than a mobile mouse, and I mean slightly.2. I don't have big hands and I found the claw like grip I needed on it causing discomfort.3. It's unashamedly plastic, and has a very hollow cheap plastic feel to it. Like a budget mouse.4. Its very light. There is almost no weight to this at all.5. It's loud. Clicking is loud and even scrolling using the scroll wheel is loud (I can't remember scroll wheel volume being noticeable on any mouse I've ever used before)6. There is no "middle click" on this. The scroll wheel has two settings. The first is the usual scroll wheel, but if you press the scroll wheel you actually depress it down a few millimetres and it then spins freely without any clicks. I guess that's the "fast scroll mode", but I didn't really see it was that much of a benefit over the usual scrolling?7. Right clicking sometimes leads to clicking both the right and left buttons simultaneously? This was odd, and not all the time, but sometimes I would press the right mouse button and I'd feel and hear the left mouse button click simultaneously.8. This is an ambidextrous mouse and can be used by right and left handed people. If you're using the mouse in your left hand the two buttons on the left won't be in the way at all and you won't accidentally click them.9. It has a "unifying receiver" which means that if you have a wireless Logitech keyboard already for example, you can use just the one receiver in just one USB port for both. Please note however that you'll need to download the unifying software from Logitech to set it up. Your existing receiver won't detect this mouse unless you've set it up via the downloadable software first.Overall, this is a smaller budget mouse with a much higher price tag that you'd expect for what you get. It's not a patch on the usual Logitech quality.
