MagswitchTable Featherboard Universal Model

The theory sounds weird when you read it - like you can really use magnets to hold down a featherboard and actually have it hold a work piece in place.Well - I'm converted. Sounds odd but I'd rather rely on this than a T-track. It just works. Holds rock solid without a hint of wobble. And if you decide to test it by giving it a good whack you'd better be prepared to hurt your hand. This thing doesn't move.Mind you - this works great on my drill press and my band saw. It's pretty useless on the table saw that it was intended for. So take a moment before you buy and make sure that you know the difference between an aluminium table (non magnetic) and a steel one (nice and magnetic) :-)

This tool arrived well packaged and on time.It is well made and sturdy and simple to use.However (and this is my fault for not checking) my Bosch table saw has an aluminium table not a steel one so the magnets don't work, dam!So I tired it on my band saw for ripping some 12mm plywood into thin 10mm strips and the tool held the wood against the fence perfectly with no movement at all, making ripping on the bandsaw so much easier as this tool frees a hand up.Because I have not been able to try the tool out on the table saw I can't say how well it would hold a large thick or long piece of wood against the fence hence the four stars and not five, however I suspect that it would be just as good as it was on the bandsaw, if only my table were not made of Aluminium.A good tool and worth the money I think

Incredibly useful and super power magnetic hold from this feather board. On the iron table of my bandsaw it is so easy to position this featherboard exactly where you want it very quickly. And as I say, the magnets are incredibly strong so it will not slide when it is locked down.

I was dubious about buying this as previous experience with these magnets has not been overwhelming.This however is fantastic. I placed it on my table saw, rotated the knobs and found it impossible to move.Very good buy which will keep my fingers even further away from the blade.

Not sure to be honest how I went so long without this. I should have bought two, but budget was tight.Obviously doesn't work on aluminium, but for the bandsaw & tablesaw, it serves its purpose very well.

This is great and really sturdy when the magnets engage. Note magnets, no good for anything other than cast iron or steel. Use this on my table saw more and more now just wish I bought two of them. I did shop around and found this at a good price.

Great featherboard for use on various machines, has strong flexible fingers and strong magnetic clamping.

It's expensive but it works as well as one that is bolted down.
