Not that bright at the ends, very bright on cristals though. Seems good quality, but cheaper brands had stronger light at the end of fibres. Size is perfect. Battery still goes on. I would give like 3.5stars.

The fibre optic strands keep getting loose and detaching but it is lovely for children

I was looking forward to this lamp — it looks great in the photos and the colour-changing effect is quite unique. However, unfortunately, my experience was let down by the condition in which it arrived. Both the outer packaging and the inner box were visibly damaged during transit, and sadly, the lamp itself didn’t fare much better. When I opened the package, the item had split into parts and clearly wasn’t usable as is. You can see the extent of the damage in the photos I’ve included.

I bought this item in October but for various reasons hadn't got round to regularly using it. After less than a dozen uses the batteries failed, and in attempting to change them I cut my thumb on the jammed hatch cover. The fibres which didn't glow properly from the beginning fell out of the base and there I could see that inside the base two of the three coloured bulbs didn't work. As it was over six months Amazon wouldn't entertain a refund or replacement and suggested I got in touch with Glowhouse-they said for me to get on to Amazon to arrange a replacement, and after I replied saying that this wasn't possible didn't bother to answer any further emails. The item is cheap and poorly assembled, like the sort of crap you keep kids quiet with on carnival night but then it doesn't work the next day, but for £15 it should perform much better.

Bought for my 11mth old girl - long overdue sensory play item. Is just like the ones in the classes I've been to; well made, fab light and shades, robust and comes with batteries ready to go. Little girl's face comes alive when it lights up and she loves to touch the fibres.

Excellent value, very calming, vivid changing colours, very easy to use and my son loves it, don’t know why I never thought of one before now, the video doesn’t do it justice, so much better in real life!
