Nicely made and sounds great
Very nice quality. Works perfectly and sounds good. So far it has only been in use for a short period of time, but since it survived the first few days, it will probably work for years.

NO 5.1 LPCM EXTRACTION
This device extracts audio. It does NOT extract raw 5.1 LPCM audio from HDMI, even with the "5.1" dial set. You'll want something else for that purpose.

Quality but not amplified digital 5.1 sound
At first received & set up, I was disappointed at the volume being low. Post invested RCA female to twin pair connectors, fed extracted audio into Sony Head. Its good quality digital separation on my Bose 5.1 Surround. The Sony Head Amp being older didn't have HDMI. Listened to Zeppelin 1 ... I successfully used the RCA outputs, into the Sony Head 5.1 input, then output through the speaker twin paired type, using Amazon order 3 of Vistric - 16 AWG 1-Feet Speaker wire pair with RCA Females - Black & Red, which I fed this amplified output into the Bose 5.1 spkr system. Though the heat and power use are up, I like the sound quality (occasional harmonic thumping cause not ferreted out yet, since You-tube sources introduces unknown factors).

No Vocal Track!
All of the RCAs are working. It has problems with voice channels phasing in and out. Fist played a DVD of The Incredibles on my ps4, Video looks great no lag or degrading. The problem I have with that DVD is that the vocal channel, doesn't matter which language setting it ISN'T THERE! All I hear are the background sounds! NO VOCALS! My second trial is a Blu-ray copy of Finding Nemo, the Vocals are perfect some of the time but phase in and out sometimes only hearing the reverb of the vocal track distant in the background. My third try was another Blu-ray of "Lucy", same issues. Mainly when the actors are yelling or heavy music is played in the background the vocals are lost. The subwoofer channel is distorted sounding. Just really rough sounding unlike a mono send with a low pass filter on it.The switch on the front does not effect the vocals in any way. Also, in any mode the audio is passed through the HDMI out. Would NOT suggest buying this product.

Need a trustable advice ...
According to description it seems to be exactly what I need : 6 analog RCA outputs to feed muy old Yamaha 5.1 receiver, and an HDMI output to feed my new TV set, both from my notebook HDMI output. But I' like to be dure that both audio and vídeo quality are NOT degraded. Can any one tell me honestly about his experience? Thanks a lot !!!
