Campden Tablets
I found these very useful as one is recommended to use Campden Tablets at many stages in wine making. They seem effective and useful for sterilizing any new equipment. The bottle seals well which is good because these tablets release strong sulphur dioxide fumes and are not to be sniffed at - literally!

Calm down Dear! Calm Down!
So you see when my wine recipe is boiled and put in the fermentation bin I chuck in a tablet to kill the nasties. Then after a day or so I introduce some yeast and my sweet little bin goes into a spin, Out come bubbles after bubbles and I tell her "Calm down!" but she does not. She is not so sweet now so when her bubbles slow to a trickle I calm her down for as I chuck in another tablet. Then after another day I bottle up my six bottles of wine, which without this tablet or two might well resemble vinegar or the like.

Received promptly
I used this to extend the life of elder flower cordial, which it has done. No problems with supplier - would use again. Suggestion - would be good in a blister pack and less tablets, as will not use 50 before there sell by date.
